Dead Space, Frog Detective, and Like a Dragon: Ishin are some of this month's big highlights.

Following the announcement of the second wave of Xbox Game Pass titles for October earlier this month, several of those have arrived today--including the remake of Dead Space.

In terms of what's new today, October 26, 2023's Dead Space, Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery (a delightful, hilarious series of adventure games), and Mineko's Night Market are all now live. Dead Space is available across cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, but notably, you'll need Game Pass Ultimate (or an EA Play subscription) in order to play it.

Like a Dragon: Ishin is available as of earlier this month and is a remake of a game that was once considered to be an impossible game to port to Western audiences. Set in feudal Japan, the game follows Sakamoto Ryoma in his quest for revenge during the dawn of industrialization in that nation. It's on Game Pass for console, PC, and cloud devices. Next month will also see the day-one release of Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, which is set after Yakuza 6: The Song of Life and during Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

October 19 saw F1 Manager 2023 added to Game Pass, a game that puts you in the pit lanes of F1 as you manage a team and work toward podium finishes, and October 24 was headlined by the release of day-one release Cities: Skylines II. In this municipal management game, you'll be building your own city from scratch as you juggle the needs of your citizens, react to natural disasters, and manage your economy.

As noted above, arriving just in time for the Halloween season is Dead Space. The critically acclaimed remake of the 2008 horror game released earlier this year. Like the original game, this remake is a terrifying dive into sci-fi survival-horror as you struggle to stay a step ahead of disturbing monsters lurking inside the bowels of the USG Ishimura spaceship.

For something less horrifying, Frog Detective--which was already available on PC Game Pass--is a charming investigative game in which you have to find clues, question suspects, and solve cases as the amphibian gumshoe. Mineko's Night Market, a cozy game inspired by Japanese markets, is also now out on console, PC, and cloud devices. Rhythmic pigeon simulator Headbangers rocks up on October 31 for cloud, console, and PC.

Also out on October 31 is Jusant for cloud, console, and PC, a climbing adventure in which you ascend a mysterious and ever-changing tower while accompanied by your watery companion Ballast. A few games are leaving Xbox Game Pass this month, so say goodbye to Gunfire Reborn, Persona 5 Royal, and more.
