360 owns the 7th generation for hardcore gamers good that nintendo sold many wii consoles but its only on very rare ocasions that people every use them

it's deception to the consumers that a company (Microcrap) goes to such lows as to make an incredible price drop and lose huge maounts of money willingly (against most international laws) just to crush competition

playstation messed up because it wasnt able to secure any good exclusives and put their system Technically speaking a Toy out for $600USD even tho sony claims its much more......and Xbox has done the opposite by getting the games but not adding so much hardware so the costs where way less to produce and so sale price was cheaper too....so unless sony pulls off a great year this year and pulls at least 4-5 great exclusives which it doesnt look like they will...then sony is done for with this generation.....

I will never buy another MS console again unless they can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is reliable. I've owned my PS3 for a year this month; no problems whatsoever. I owned my FIRST 360 not even one month before it started acting up. I ended up taking it back to Best Buy and replacing it. Luckily it never acted up after that, but I never gave it a chance because I sold it last year right before the price cut. Microsoft has proven they have no ethics when it comes to making a console. They knowingly released a shoddy product to the masses all in an effort to be first. Not to mention they completely ABANDONED the first Xbox like some red headed step-child after the 360 came out. So they have shown they 1. Won't support their hardware, and 2. Will release defective products just to make a profit at the consumers expense. F*** MS.

PS3 has taken the bronze this generation. P.S. I still have my launch 360 with no problems.

RROD is all luck. Bad luck obviously. My brother still has his xbox since launch and its still running fine. My friend bought a new elite a month ago and its already being sent in. It would be more upsetting if they didn't have warranties for such a problem, but they clearly know about. Aside from the time it takes for the console to be mailed back, it isn't that big of an issue. I personally own two elite consoles and I haven't had a problem - so far anyway. If people keep buying the Xbox over PS3, Microsoft is clearly doing something right.

Hunter-Venom Even with the RROD its still the best console out. Yeah you have to pay for Live but compare that to the price of service for one MMO. I highly agree with you the loom of the RROD can be a B but I'm happy. Try watching dust collect on your PS3. I actually play my Wii more than the PS3. The games for the PS3 just aren't there and you have either have this long dry spell or end up with over hyped and under-whelming games like GT5 P, Motor Storm 2, SOCOM, and many more.

Great news for Xbox fans. I don't own a PS3. I realize that the goal of the big three is to be the best. Unlike the nintendo sega wars of the 90's. Everyone has a completely different strategy. Nintendo has won hands down. Microsoft is all about choice and online play. Sony is about cramming everything they can into the PS3. The infamous RROD has haunted the 360. Also I'm not really a fan of removing features from the PS3 either. Each system has it's pro's and con's. Sony in my opinion simply put to much into the console. Normally that would be awesome in most every way. Sony decided to use Blu-ray. It's just not a sound format right now. Don't get me wrong I love HD. Games and movies are so much better. Video quality and audio are top priorities around my house. People as a whole really don't care about HD. Over half still don't know what to do about the digital/UHF changeover next month. Then there are people who can't afford it. That is probably the biggest enemy of the PS3. Look at it this way you could buy a 360 arcade model for $200 cheaper than the PS3. Before every fanboy says yeah no hard drive. Think about all the parents buying systems for there kids. Jane doe goes into wal-mart to buy a wii for her son. Sold out of course right. She looks over and there is a 360 for cheaper than the wii. Next to the 360 is the PS3. A staggering $200 more. She thinks about it for 2 seconds. She buys the xbox and an extra controller. Throw in a few older games. Now she barely spent more than what she planned on spending on the wii. Most parents don't know about hard drives or memory cards. I have seen it a hundred times. Microsoft has a great thing going for them. Sony put to much into the PS3 and that will cost them 1st and 2nd place this time around.

If Microsoft didn't have the RROD the 360 would be the best console no question. There sales dropped because of that. Just think if they didn't have that how could anyone bash the 360 then? the $50 a year online? people like it because there's over 10 million people on Xbox live. The only reason to hate the 360 is because of the RROD. The price of the PS3 turned people off from the start that's the reason it's selling slow.

I hate when people overly hype and complain about a broken 360. Yeah mine broke this past October and was without it for a week and a half. Yeah I was pissed but got it back and everything was covered. In that time I played Wind Waker caught up on some projects around the home and other things. Besides what takes longer? A 360 to go out and get fixed or a PS3 or Wii to come a decent first party game to play? I have all three so I have the right to judge any.

You guys may enjoy your PS3, but the fact is Microsoft is doing better things with their console. Truth.

I lost interest in my Wii a long time ago, but the odd time, they release something fun. Wii60 FTW. 360 dominated my wii, and made buying a ps3 useless to me.

Having just purchased an xbox 360, I can say I'm very impressed with the console and its capabilities. Our family owns a wii and while a good console in its own right, the wii pales in comparison to an xbox 360. The xbox 360 has the third party games, great graphics, and second to none on line play. Even though we don't own a PS3, a healthy price cut could put Sony back into the hunt and Sony could use some good news Lets be honest though the price cut saved the Xbox 360's bacon.

Wii60 for the win.
