WWE Survivor Series 2020 Results: The Undertaker Says Goodbye

The final major WWE PPV of 2020 has come to a close. Survivor Series took place at the Amway Center on November 22, and it marked the retirement of The Undertaker. Wrestler Mark Calaway put the character to rest after one last walk to the ring at the end of the event during the "Final Farewell" segment. Prior to that, though, Survivor Series saw both Raw and Smackdown compete against each other to see which brand is superior, and you can check out the full results for the show below.

Throughout the rest of the evening, fans saw champions from Raw face champions from Smackdown in what was an up and down show with a few quality matches and some very forgettable moments. This was also the last WWE PPV for the Thunderdome at the Amway Center.

Survivor Series took place at the Amway Center, and of course, it was surrounded by the aforementioned Thunderdome. If you want to watch the PPV replay, though, you'll need to subscribe to WWE's streaming service. It costs $10 a month, and in addition to watching live-streamed events, you can also check out a massive catalog of in-ring competition and original programming.

One of the big draws to the WWE PPV was none other than the traditional Survivor Series match which sees Raw and Smackdown each pick five competitors for a tag team elimination match. There were seven matches on the card, if you don't include the two very quick 24/7 Championship battles.

Kickoff Show

Show notes and late match additions:

• The Kickoff Show starts at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET. Normally, this is a two-hour long event, but it looks like WWE is going for just an hour-long preshow this year.
• A dual brand Battle Royal was announced for the Kickoff Show.
• There is also a rumor that Undertaker's final farewell during Survivor Series will somehow involve The Fiend.
• The Gobbledy Gooker won the 24/7 Championship

Battle Royal

Buddy Murphy, The Miz, John Morrison, and Rey and Dominik Mysterio were the only wrestlers that got an entrance. The Miz went out of the ring, but was never technically eliminated. So in the end, Dominik thought he won, but The Miz snuck back in and got the win.

Men's Survivor Series match

• Seth Rollins got into the ring, got on his knees, and allowed Sheamus to kick him in the face. It's the new Finger Poke of Doom.
• AJ Styles eliminates Kevin Owens.

• Braun Strowman eliminates Otis.
• Keith Lee eliminates Jey Uso.
• Raw sweeps Smackdown.

The New Day vs. The Street Profits

This was an incredible back-and-forth battle between the two championship teams, highlighting everyone's strengths. Also, we got to see Xavier Woods take over the role as the powerhouse--as Big E is now on another brand. I don't see another match during this PPV being any better or more exciting than this one.

Bobby Lashley vs. Sami Zayn

This match went exactly how you thought it would, but that's what worked about it. The rest of the Hurt Business was art ringside, but they did not interfere in the match--however, Sami tried his best to get a DQ win. The match itself was fine, but it was great for continuing to build Hurt Business a dominant stable.

Asuka vs. Sasha Banks

While the match may have been won by pin, it was a battle of submission holds and reversals throughout the match. It seemed like Asuka had the upper-hand towards the end of the match, but she was rolled up by Banks who was playing possum.

Drew McIntyre vs. Roman Reigns

Two champions going to war in the middle of the ring. It was an incredible battle for these giants. Of course, Reigns has a little outside help by way of Jey Uso, along with Reigns giving McIntyre a low blow, which led to him landing the guillotine on McIntyre.

Reigns wins by submission.

The Undertaker Final Farewell notes:

Shane McMahon comes to the ring, dances around per usual. Big Show and JBL also come to the ring. Jeff Hardy arrives with some Undertaker-inspired facepaint. Mick Foley makes an appearance as well, with the best Santa beard ever. One of the Undertaker's closest friends The Godfather arrives, and then The Godwins head to the ring. Mideon was wearing clothes. Savio Vega arrives next. Looks like most of the Bone Street Krew will be in attendance. And Rikishi is here too. The sea of friends continues as Kevin Nash arrives, followed by Booker T. Of course, Shawn Michaels is here as well. You can't have an Undertaker farewell without bringing in the guy who had two amazing Wrestlemania matches with him. Ric Flair is here. Blue blood Hunter Hearst Helmsley arrives to the ring, followed by Mayor Kane, D.D.S.

The show cuts to a video package of 30 tears of Undertaker set to "Now That We're Dead" by Metallica.

Vince McMahon is in the ring after the video package--everyone else is gone. He gives a heartfelt goodbye to Taker, holding back tears. He intros The Undertaker, possibly for the very-last time.

The Thunderdome and all the lighting go completely dark for the entrance. His music was played by lightning, apparently. It sounded like a chiptune. His normal entrance music played, and Taker emerged from the fog, silhouetted by the light behind him.

Taker gave a short speech about laying people to rest for the past 30 years before announcing it was time to let the Undertaker rest in peace. Taker then left the ring as the pre-recorded audience chanted "Thank You, Taker"--something a real audience would have been chanting anyway, but 2020 has been a bit of a trip. We also got a brief moment to see a Paul Bearer hologram.

And that was it. There wasn't anything leading to a bigger story, a passing of the torch, or anything else. Taker just did his classic entrance, one last time for the world to see.
