Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment today released the first images of War Games, one of the new maps coming to the game next month as part of the Expedition DLC, which was announced earlier this month at PAX East. War Games, described as a "parkour playground," is based in a virtual reality world where Pilots compete in simulated environments of Angel City, Rise, and Airbase Sierra.

The IMC will start in an Airbase-style structure, featuring working Marvins and a tank repair garage. The Militia, on the other hand, start off in an environment based on Angel City, but featuring new night time twist. Respawn says in a blog post that War Games is one of the game's "most wallrunning friendly maps" the developer has ever created. You can read more about War Games on the Titanfall website.

War Games is one of three new maps coming to Titanfall through the upcoming Expedition DLC. The other two are called Swampland and Runoff, though Respawn hasn't said much about these maps yet.

The Expedition DLC is included with the $25 Titanfall DLC Pass and can be purchased separately for $10. A new 2v2 Last Titan Standing mode is also coming to Titanfall sometime in the future and will be available as a free download for all players.

Titanfall launched for Xbox One and PC on March 11 and was the top-selling game overall in the United States during the month. The Xbox 360 version was released on April 8. For more on Titanfall, be sure to read GameSpot's previous coverage.
