Classic mythology is nothing if not immortal, so it wasn't terribly surprising earlier this month when THQ mentioned in a conference call with investors that it would be expanding its PC action role-playing game Titan Quest.

The publisher today gave the first details on the expansion pack, dubbing it Titan Quest: Immortal Throne. The expansion adds eight new character classes to the game, dozens of new monsters, hundreds of new weapons, and 10 extra character levels. It also includes a new environment in the underworld of Hades, and offers "more than 12 hours of single-player content per difficulty level."

Titan Quest: Immortal Throne is slated for an early 2007 worldwide release. The original Titan Quest was rated T for Teen. For more on the original, check out GameSpot's review.
