Thor: Love and Thunder is finally wrapped ahead of its 2022 premiere, and now director Taika Waititi has shared some words about the production and how it ups the ante for him.

Posting on Instagram, Waititi said Love and Thunder is the "craziest thing I've ever done." His Oscar-winning movie Jojo Rabbit was about a little boy who spoke to an imaginary Hitler, so it'll be interesting to see what Love and Thunder offers to eclipse that.

Waititi, who will play Korg again, it seems, added: "And I'm honoured to bust my ass and have a nervous breakdown so you can all see it in May 2022."

"Sometimes two people come together to inspire the world and change the cinematic landscape forever. And then there's me and Chris Hemsworth who are too cool to care about anything except making movies that bring people absolute joy. Ok I don't look cool I know that," Waititi said with his trademark humor.

In his own post celebrating Love and Thunder wrapping up, Hemsworth said the film will be "batsh** crazy off the wall funny and might also pull a heart string or two."

Love and Thunder adds Christian Bale as Gorr, The God Butcher, a villain, while Natalie Portman's Jane Foster returns. Additionally, some of the Guardians of the Galaxy are expected to appear in Love and Thunder, even if they can't talk about it yet.

Love and Thunder comes to theaters on May 6, 2022. It is one of 10 Marvel films that now have release dates--check out the full MCU Phase 4 release date calendar here.
