The Last Of Us 2 Theater Boss Guide - Seattle Day 3: The Confrontation

Surviving in The Last of Us Part 2 requires you to sneak past both hostile humans and the deadly infected--but sometimes, you have to fight. There are a few moments in The Last of Us 2 where you'll face deadly threats that you have to fight, leveraging all of our stealth and combat skills in order to stay alive and emerge victorious.

Boss Fight - The Confrontation

You're mostly weaponless here, so the goal is to use stealth to get the drop on the boss, so you can get in close and dish out some melee damage. You'll need to be careful about staying hidden: watch out for objects like chains or glass that can make sound and give you away.

The fight is pretty straightforward: use Listen mode and try to flank the boss, get in close, and unleash some melee attacks. You have to approach without being detected, though, because you'll die if you attack from the front. If you get spotted, run for it until you can break line of sight and slip back into stealth, as you'll want to avoid getting shot as much as possible. Note that you'll find bricks and bottles throughout the area that you can use as distractions or for quick stun hits--these are actually a pretty good strategy, especially later in the fight.

After you get in close and land some damage, the boss will switch to a shotgun. As soon as you fall through the floor, move toward the crate near you or you'll get killed. Stay hidden and get away as quick as you can; look for health items in the area if you need them. Repeat the process of getting in close and using melee strikes, but be sure you don't get spotted. The boss will dodge any attacks from the front and knock you out with the shotgun, so again, if you're spotted, disengage and save yourself rather than trying to fight.

In the final phase, the boss will hit you with arrows, which can get lodged and do extended damage over time if you're hit. They'll also periodically put down mines that you'll be able to hear sparking in Listen mode; you'll have to avoid them altogether. Repeat the stealth process of getting close and attacking while unseen one more time to finish the fight.
