Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem Cast Includes Jackie Chan, John Cena, and Rose Byrne

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem makes its cinematic debut in August, and ahead of its first trailer this week, the voice cast for the latest reimagining of the half-shell heroes has been revealed. With The Mitchells vs. the Machines' Jeff Rowe directing, Mutant Mayhem features a very stacked cast of Hollywood talent behind familiar faces and infamous foes.

Micah Abbey, Shannon Brown Jr., Nicholas Cantu, and Brady Noon voice Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo, and Raphael, respectively, while the turtles' sensei Splinter is voiced by none other than martial arts movie legend Jackie Chan. Filling out the supporting cast is Ayo Edebiri (Cicada) as April O'Neil, Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) as Mondo Gecko, and Ice Cube as Superfly.

On the more nefarious side of the sound recording booth, WWE superstar John Cena is voicing Rocksteady, Seth Rogen--who is also producing the film--plays his partner Bebop, Giancarlo Esposito will voice Baxter Stockman, and Maya Rudolph will portray Cynthia Utrom.

Interestingly, this is John Cena's second time voicing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles villain. Cena had previously been the voice behind Baron Draxum in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and in the second live-action TMNT film from 2016, WWE performer Sheamus played the rhino enforcer.

"In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, after years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts," the film's official synopsis reads. "Their new friend April O'Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them."

Since the rights to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were sold to Viacom (now Paramount Global) in 2009 for $60 million, the franchise has had a largely successful return to the mainstream. The CG-animated Nickelodeon series received critical acclaim and ran for several seasons, a more traditional animated series concluded with a big-budget feature film, and IDW's various TMNT comic book series have been best-sellers as well.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem will hit theaters on August 4.
