Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars was one of the most iconic games on SNES. Now, Nintendo is reviving the adventure for another generation of players with a remake for Nintendo Switch. The aptly named Super Mario RPG (no subtitle in sight) is heading to Switch on November 17, but preorders are now open for the adorable game. You can get a free button set with preorders of Super Mario RPG at GameStop.

While the graphics are new and eye-catching, just about everything else appears to stay faithful to its source material based on the trailer. This includes a turn-based battle system, all the iconic characters from back in the day, and a reworked soundtrack that’s held up well since 1996.

This isn’t the only Mario game competing for your attention later this year, as you can also preorder Super Mario Bros. Wonder now, too. But if you’re looking for a fun adventure that takes Mario off the beaten path, you can’t go wrong with Super Mario RPG.

It's pretty common for retailers to offer exclusive bonuses for Switch exclusives, so we wouldn't be surprised to see other retailers such as Walmart and Best Buy offer bonuses of their own.
