@swavo13: DK64's biggest problem with collectables is that you had to switch Kongs all the time, and I mean all, the, time. It really hurt the pace of the game. Odyssey got rid of even being booted out of the stage when you collected a moon versus Mario 64 where you found a star, were kicked out to the hub world, had to re-enter the level and travel back to where you were to keep going.

@Legend_of_Link: if you like Mario you'll be okay. I skipped the most awarded Wii Mario (Galaxy) on the Wii, because, I'm not interested in Mario at all.

@maximo: what's truly crazy is despite the fact Xbox1X is the most powerful console on Earth a Nintendo Switch game is still best of the show. Switch is Arguably the least powerful of the 3 consoles and yet it's games are *Gasp* Fun! It really just illustrates the fact that power is nothing without games.

@maximo: Dude, it was the only hardware that anyone has besides Switch due to the fact it already launch back in March, Xbox One X has yet to release which is why it got that justify victory. Both Sony & Nintendo had nothing to show for, MS was the only one that had something new hardware coming out late this November. No reasons why Sony fanboys should be piss off about this.

@videogameninja: I don't get the Zelda thing to be honest. I mean I like it and I'm currently playing through it (and will see it to the end), but it has its flaws. Weapons breaking is the shits, period. The Divine Beasts and the shrines can never truly replace the dungeons that made the series so iconic. Horses... suck? I mean I want to ride horses around but either I'm dumb and haven't figured it out yet or they don't teleport around so they're never with you when you need them. You have to actually travel to where you left them to retrieve them... it's not like Roach in Witcher 3 where you whistle and there he is regardless of where he was last.

There's a lot to like and I think it's the right direction to go for the series in general, but I wouldn't vote for it as Game of the Year personally.

@videogameninja: it's going to be crazy hard to top Zelda, but there are definitely some 10/10's in the Mario franchise (Mario3, Mario64, Galaxy 2), so I agree, if anyone has a shot it's Mario. I just gotta hurry up and get the Switch so I can play it. I played Zelda on the Wii U.
