Star Wars Battlefront Now Expected to Ship 13 Million, Up from 10 Million

was a bit underwhelmed with the beta/demo, but something tells me the full experience will be better

Ya liked how it looked and played on pc. But I'm still not buying it. Way to little content for the price when compared to other games releasing worth the same that will offer me far more fun time.

Amazed people are pumped after the demo. After 60 minutes you'd pretty much seen everything, and the game itself really isn't anything special gameplay-wise other than it's Star Wars (but that is definitely a legitimate selling point). I, for one, would have preferred a well-written and exciting SP campaign that showcases the excellent environments.

I liked the beta and even though it is from EA I liked it and will be buying it.

I am not even sure if I can be bothered to download the free 10 hour trial on EA access never less buy te game... that's how meh it was

this has to be just PR spin to try and drum up more sales and positive hype for a game that DOES NOT deserve it. with all they things they tore out of this game there is no way any one can find any redeeming quality in this game.

Impressive. I think the game looks great and am really looking forward to picking it up myself.

I thought the beta was rather bad, I'm not buying it.

Positive reception? From who? I've not seen any.

No offline mode, no campaign, no space battles and juvenile shooting mechanics with no teamwork/skill required. If you buy this $60 DLC you should have your head examined.

I really hope this game flops, because it REALLY deserves to.

But sadly it won't. Dumb people will buy anything with the words Star Wars on it.

I wonder how many people out there are like me and didn't really enjoy the beta? After playing that I for sure would not purchase the full game.

Got excited cos its starwars, played the beta, looked good.. really good, but that was it, after a little while it felt a little old hat to be honest same old new skin and a season pass to buy why why why:( I know they have servers to run but really is it worth it...... dont think soBF2 and 3 awesome but nothing has changed better graphics bigger maps but hey alot of people love it and its starwars, they will sell loads.

I might buy it on a sale or somthing cos its star wars, then again prob not, ill be, and the rest of the world will be over it when star wars battlefront 2 appears.

Waste of money

They should have stuck with the 9 million projection. There's no way this sells 13 million by April.

This is only a demo not full game as it was with Battlefield 4. Anyone who will buy this demo. They will only waste 60 dollars for nothing. EA claims that DICE is their best developers and after 3 years developing this game. They came out with 12 maps and asking 50 dollars for season pass and the PC beta has been hacked already and its horrible. Good luck with those 13 million lies. I have made one mistake by buying Battlefiled 4 for my PC and no more of buying any thing from EA crap.

I will pay $20 to one of those 13 million people for the game as soon as they learn that it doesn't have a campaign like the other Battlefront games.

I will check this out on EA Early Access before deciding, but will probably crack and buy it because it's Star Wars. Even though I know it will go nowhere and leave an empty black hole in the long run. The sad part is, I'm aware of this, and will probably do it anyways. Well played, EA.

Looks like EA is really taking huge hits off that crack pipe. BF3 didnt even sell 10 million good luck.

They're obviously not counting for the fact that those 9 million people might not necessarily like the game and assuming it will grow beyond that. None of my friends liked the beta and that includes some hard core Star Wars fans. I think 7 million is a better target.

I have a feeling this game is going to be a flop I dont see it selling 13 million copies.

Well it's nice to hear that EA is awfully optimistic.
