Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, And S21 Ultra Release This Month, Starting At $800
5G capability, snazzy new camera features, and more are coming with the S21 models.
Samsung took to CES to show off its new lineup of Galaxy phones, the S21 series. These phones not only feature new designs, they also have a cheaper starting price than their predecessors.
During its virtual Unpacked stream, Samsung unveiled the $800 Galaxy S21, the $1,000 Galaxy S21 Plus, and the $1,200 Galaxy S21 Ultra. Consumers in the UK should note that the S21 will start at £769, which is only £30 less than the S20. The new models will be available in stores on January 29.
The S21 Ultra has four camera lenses on its back, while the S21 and S21 Plus have three. Additionally, the S21 phones have upgraded displays. The S21 Ultra features a 6.8 inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display, while the S21 and S21 Plus have 6.2 and 6.7 versions of this display respectively. In a statement, head of Samsung's mobile communication business TM Roh said that the Galaxy S21 series is "the most powerful and versatile flagship lineup ever."

Preorders for the Samsung Galaxy S21 line are available now through Samsung. Ordering directly from Samsung gets you $100 credit for preordering the Galaxy S21, $150 for the S21 Plus, or $200 for the S21 Ultra. You'll also receive one of Samsung's new SmartTag Bluetooth trackers for free. For a limited time, you can also get up to $700 off the cost of any new S21 model with an eligible trade-in.
You can also preorder through specific carriers: Verizon Wireless, AT&T, and T-Mobile.
Alongside these new phones, Samsung also showed off several new accessories. Among these are the $200 Galaxy Buds Pro bluetooth earbuds, $40 S Pen accessory, and $30 Galaxy SmartTags, which are Samsung's version of Tile's tracking device for nonelectric items.
