Rocket League has been rated for Xbox One by a Taiwanese video game rating board, suggesting the popular soccer-with-cars title will be launching on Microsoft's console soon.

The listing, which was spotted by Gematsu and Twitter user Lifelower, is the second recent indication that Rocket League's PlayStation exclusivity is coming to an end. In November, developer Psyonix said it may announce the game for additional platforms by the end of the year.

In an interview, studio director Dave Hagewood was asked if the game would ever come to Microsoft's Xbox One.

"[Laughs] I can't say," he replied. "We're looking at all kinds of platforms and there may be some announcements coming up at some point. Hopefully before the end of the year, but I can't confirm that."

This followed statements by marketing VP Jeremy Dunham, who confirmed in August that Rocket League is in the process of being ported to other systems.

"Yes, we are definitely bringing Rocket League to additional platforms," he said at the time. "We'll have an official announcement of what platforms those are (and when) a little further down the line."

Currently, Rocket League is only available on PC and PlayStation 4, where it launched as a free PlayStation Plus title as part of a partnership with Sony.

For a indie dev I think its only right. Its been out on the Playstation 4 and Steam for quite some time now so having Xbox One users join the fray makes it even more awesome. I'm rooting for you at the VGAs Psyonix!

Ok sweet. But there are a bunch of other indie games I want on X1. Axiom Verge, Hotline Miami, and 1001 Spikes just to name a few. They really got nut punched by Sony in the indie scene this year. Ori and the Blind Forest is the best of the best in my opinion though.

I have this ps4 but if it comes to Xbox I'll be sure to buy it again since a large group of my friends are on Xbox. I played split screen on this game and I had so much fun with a friend. Haven't had that much fun split screen since ps2 days.

I might actually buy it for XONE, since I like owning titles that I really enjoy. Freebies from Games with Gold and PS+ are nice, but they're basically rentals tied to your current subscription to the service.

Its not some sort of exclusivity deal guys.... RL is a cross play title. Right now pc users share the same matches with playstation users. The only reason it hasn't been on xbox is msft's online policies. So, question is, if it really does come to xb1 was it because msft allowed an exception to their policy to let them play online with playstation? Or, is the xb1 getting an isolated version and the users will be sequestered into an xbox only server?

@mikemurphy80: yeah.... first of all, more often than not it seems the pc players are who do poorly... lacking teamwork though or any concept of how to actually play to win seems rampant on all platforms. While kb and mouse is usable on ps4 as well, the pages of infantile profanity found in the chat window come from pc users... there is no need for this kids, none.... if you can't be mature about it go back to xbox, we don't want you here.

1. You don't have to hit the ball....

Just because you can do a thing doesn't mean you should, especially if you can't hit it in the right direction, let alone aim it, more often than not your clueless smacking will vause a score against you.

The ball is not the only thing out there to hit.... take out players also instead of scoping the ball with oblivious tunnel vision of a puppy....if the enemy isn't there anymore he can't score, or defend.... so, run up and take out their goal keeper while others make a olay for a shot....

2. Stop trying to play every position at once...... you alone are far less likely to score than with a team. Focus on running the ball up and passing to another who will focus on the shot, while another tajes out the goal keepers so that your efforts aren't in vain.

3. Stop waiting for the ball. Often you will see a group sitting under the ball waiting for it to get low enough for them to attempt striking it... like a gaggle of retarded baby chicks waiting for food.... you have ROCKETS..... use them... it is better to simply stay in motion and strike on the fly.

4. Communicate... most ofteb teams are troubled with fighting with their own team mates ovwr the ball, causing them to lose control of it or even helping the other yeam by blocking what was a good shot in greed.

But, back to crossplay. This issue is 100% in msft's court to resolve, it is their own policy. Now, imagine all those other multiplat onli e games, and how they might have been better had they allowed cross play? (And yes, kb/m almost always gives the pc user the advantage, not because they are more skilled at gaming but because it takes less skill to use... that's also assuming that consoles can't use them either, which they can...)

Cool, I'll still play it on my PS4 as opposed to my X1 because that's where I played it first, but glad more people are getting this awesome game. So much fun.

One of the best games I've gotten on PlayStation plus.

Good it's expanding and even better if they got approval to add Xbox one as cross play with PC, and ps4.

@domiddian: yes, it is cross play. It launched on pc a while ago, ps4 got it after. Ps4 players play with pc players. This is why I wonder how it will work IF it comes to xb1.

Cross play please with PS4 so we can settle fanboy and console wars once and for all! There will be blood! :) Haha.

Side note how pissed was I that I came home last night to buy this because it was on sale until December 1st for $11.99 on my recently acquired ps4 since I have been on X1 as my main console. At 10pm they already put it back up to $19.99 before the 1st was over! :( Almost $24 with th DLC still deciding what I should do....

I doubt MS would make it a free games with gold out from the jump.
