One of the world's most popular video games, Roblox, is finally headed to PlayStation. As part of the Roblox Developers Conference, the company confirmed that Roblox is headed to PlayStation 5 and the Meta Quest virtual reality platform soon.

Roblox is coming to Meta Quest VR this month, while the PlayStation 5 version of Roblox will launch in October. A live demonstration of three people playing Roblox together on PS5, mobile, and Meta Quest VR was shown on stage during the keynote address.

Roblox originally launched in 2006 for PC, before coming to mobile devices years later. The game launched on Xbox in 2015, and now it's headed to PlayStation and VR very soon.

Roblox founder David Baszucki said on stage that there will be "more platforms to come" for Roblox, and Nintendo Switch would seemingly be a strong candidate.

Roblox has more than 65 million people on the platform every day. The platform is most closely associated with user-generated content and crossovers with big brands like Chipotle. Like Fortnite, the game also hosts in-game concerts, like the Lil Nas X concert in 2020.

Baszucki recently outlined his plans for the future of Roblox in an interview with Decoder that you can watch above.
