PS4/Xbox One Assassin's Creed Ezio Collection Details Leaked, Runs at 1080p/30 FPS

It looks like the Assassin's Creed Ezio Collection could release this year on PS4 and Xbox One.

Assassin's Creed: Ezio Collection appeared on the Korean Ratings Board earlier this month, but now the compilation looks even more likely. French publication Gameblog has posted promotional material and multiple details about the still-unconfirmed collection.

Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection includes Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Gameblog reports that the collection will feature a 1080p resolution running at 30 FPS, in addition to all of the three games' DLC and animated movies Assassin's Creed: Lineage and Assassin's Creed: Embers.

According to Gameblog, Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection releases this November on PS4 and Xbox One for 70€, which is typical for a full-priced title in France. The collection as a whole is still unconfirmed, but it wouldn't be surprising if it were to cost $60 in the United States.

We've contacted Ubisoft for comment on this apparent leak and will keep you updated as we receive more information.

Assassin's Creed II received a score of 9 in our review for its "huge, beautifully realized world to explore," Brotherhood was scored an 8.5 for having fantastic lairs and platforming sequences, and Revelations earned itself an 8 for its "new movement options [that] keep the platforming joyful."

An Assassin's Creed: Ezio Trilogy released on PS3 in 2012, though The Ezio Collection would likely be remastered for modern consoles. You can already play Assassin's Creed II on Xbox One through the backwards compatibility program.

The next Assassin's Creed game is expected to release in 2017. It's rumored to be set in Egypt, subtitled "Empire." It's said to be "a complete revamp of the series" featuring "a Witcher feel, with player progression" and a "freeform combat system." Ubisoft confirmed that it wouldn't release a new Assassin's Creed game this year but didn't divulge any other details about future games or collections in the series.

For years to come this will be remembered as the "remaster generation"... fvck this and everyone who buys them. You're just contributing for devs to be lazy

@Vatusus: agree 100%. I've been an avid gamer for 27 years (I'm 32) and have always got into the next generation within a year of its inception. However this one I didn't get into until this year. Roughly 3 years late. The leap just hasnot been enough and could even argue that its taken a step back. Too many games with no couch co-op, forcing us to all have to buy copies. Long loading times and constant updates that take forever. I remember buying a game and being anxious having to drive home to play it. Now it can take 6 hours to install a game. The graphics really haven't been that big of a leap, it's better, but not by all that much. I feel like there's so much that I CAN'T do on my next gen consoles that had never been a problem before. I do feel like the Scorpio is what the xbox one should have been. It should be a massive leap over the 360, unlike the xbox one and ps4 over ps3.

If they don't update the controls there's no way I'll get this. If they do? I'm all over it! It's a shame AC3 looks like it'll be getting the remaster shaft.

AC2 and the Ezio storyline when Desmond was involved is where Assassin's Creed really was great. Once Desmond, Altair and Ezio were done, Ubisoft had not much left.

Honestly, I kind of wanted this, but too bad about the 30fps (that said, the original versions on consoles didn't hold a 30fps). Also, though the Ezio trilogy is the best, I really want the Desmond collection, because you're only getting a bit of the modern day story in the Ezio story. Not sure if this is worth it. It would have been nice if it was 60fps, and had the less-than-great games (at least, I don't think the first AC is great, and I especially don't think three is, but maybe they would have been better in an update).

@NTM23: I think it is a release to keep an eye on. To be entirely honest, I never played much of AC before AC4 (Black flag)... I had tried AC2 on the 360 since it was one of those "Games with gold" offers and liked it but I never finished it and I played AC3 after I had finished AC4 and was... well, let's say "Underwhelmed" by it.

So I am not upset about the idea of revisiting some of this with better graphics. And to my eye I really can't see a difference between 30 and 60 FPS... I am sure others can but to me it's all just moving images on a screen and I can't tell the difference.

What about Ascension? It's an animated graphic novel movie set before Brotherhood.

@pretty_odddd: Embers was the only animated mini movie I recall and it had 3D models. Lineage had real live actors featuring Ezio's dad's backstory which I'm sure u are already aware of

I'm good...I already have all of the games on the 360. They run just fine, and they are upscaled to 1080p already. Also there is already an Enzio collection out on the PS3 and 360, and it only costs $20. I may consider getting the upgraded collection when it drops below the $20 mark, but much like the Bioshock collection. There is no way in hell I am paying full price for this. I really don't understand how publishers think they can repackage games that are widely available for less than $5 into a collection and then sell it for $60.

@coasterguy65: because the BioShock collection is more than a lazy port it is 1080p 60fps on consoles with new / remastered textures and lighting as well as things like advanced physics.

Might get this even though I played em all before. Ezio is probably the best character of the franchise and the games are decent, not as basic as the original and not as cookie cutter as the current.

30fps is better than 60 ,,,,

the 30 fps can give you more cinematic feeling than the 60fps,,,, anyway,,,, I am playing now assassins creed syndicate on 4k hdr 65inch tv with 60fps gtx 1080sli ultra setting antialiasing off,,,,, this game on UltraHD you can see it very clear ,very sharp with detailed texture ,high quality graphics with 60fps,,,,! so the 30 fps still better just because the cinematic technology ,,, games on blu ray support better graphics ,,,,?! you don't know why ,? because blu ray is more clear than any dvd , see blu ray movies as example,,,,,

@ALLIAMOS: you were going well until you used "clear" and credited Blu-Ray with makin the graphics better. For games it's a storage medium, not a spec for compression and other presentation.

Just a tiny correction - AC: Lineage is NOT animated. It is a live-action short movie about Ezio's father, set before the events of AC2.

Anyway, I'll probably grab this. AC used to be one of my favorite franchises of all time, during the hay-day of AC2, ACB and ACR. It makes for a decent pick-up between new releases.

@danielbirchal: The entire point in releasing games two years apart is so they can put more work into each game. This 'release' doesn't take anything away from that, since each game is long-since completed. They'll require minor tweaks and adjustments, at most. Why you're choosing to get butthurt over something that's minimal is beyond me, but you do you...

more assed creed is always a bad idea. since ubi doesn't have a new assed creed game releasing this year, they figured they would encourage people to double dip on the older titles. we cannot possibly go a year without an assed creed release i suppose...

1080p/30fps? You can get them on PC for peanuts and you can even run them at 1080p/60fps on a potato PC. Consoles... LOL.

@BassMan: My potato PC came with sour cream, bacon bits, chives, and a dash of parmesen cheese. Now I'm running a potato PC that comes with a side of poutine, and it's freaking glorious. Consoles are like McDonald's poutine - you can add a bit of gravy and some cheese, but in the end you're just left with a cheap substitute and soggy fries.

I'm hungry now.
