PS4 Racer Driveclub Adding These Tracks Next Year

More DLC tracks are coming in the New Year.

Driveclub DLC will continue in 2016 with more new tracks, developer Evolution Studios has announced. The game's official Twitter account posted four images that provide a tease for what's to come in the New Year.

No Caption Provided

As you can see in the images (click through the gallery to see them all), Driveclub's 2016 DLC tracks will include a range of varied environments. You'll race on city streets and open roads; during the day and at night; and during different weather conditions, if the images are anything to go on.

Evolution's tweet mentioned new Driveclub tracks specifically. It's also possible further DLC in 2016 will include more cars, but this has not been confirmed.

Driveclub got off to a rocky start when it launched in October 2014, but it's rebounded since and has sold more than 2 million copies. An expansion, Driveclub Bikes, was released earlier this year, while Evolution continues to support the main game with regular updates and new content.

I'm loving the game, but it's weird people praise this game and its loads of DLC yet scorn a game like Battlefront? Driveclub sans DLC is pretty bare bones as is Battlefront...yet we praise this and hate that? Gamers are weird...lol.

@acefondu: Driveclub's Season pass is a fraction of the Battlefront Season Pass, and provided a lot of content each month.

this game looks great and i can get the base game pretty cheaply these days, but i really hope they re-release a physical copy of it next year with all the patches and free dlc (its ok if they omit the season pass stuff,or just hold back on a few things) as i read somewhere that it requires a 12gb update, and with my shitty internet that won't go down well

I got first season pass and played the heck out of this game... but I got saturated and pretty much stopped playing around end of my season pass.

I enjoyed game a lot. My major problem - if not only - was that AI suffered from conditions much less than me. It felt like they are impacted by rain, night and rain at night so much less than me, and while I'd have to drive slower and/or make more mistakes, they felt pretty much not bothered at all.

Playstation VR could revive my interest in this game... we'll see.

@phoenixvanguard: $19.00 the game and the season pass. It is hidden in the PlayStation store. I going to buy it tomorrow. FYI only for PlayStation plus members.

These guys did a great job with this game. I wasn't on wen it was first released but the way it stands now I love this game. Gorgeous, unbeaten weather effects, great arcade racer, motorcycles and dlc just keeps coming. I don't have a problem with mp other than wishing the intermission was faster.

Keep the dlc rolling.

@lenyora-sama: Nope, just wish they would make more games with a realistic driving focus that wasn't on closed tracks.

@kiloman_74: Yeah, I'm so stupid for wanting there to be more racing games with simulation physics, and not be focused on closed track racing.

Go f*ck your own self, jerk.

@skyhighgam3r: This game is not designed for "traffic on the roads". Not at all.

@nurnberg: yeah... that's my point.

I want more sim-style racers that aren't on all closed tracks.

@nurnberg: Yeah that would make no sense at all. DC is a track racer.

It's like complaining that there are no families enjoying picnics on Old Trafford while Man U is playing.

I'm saying I want more simulation style racing games that aren't focused on closed track racing.

@skyhighgam3r: You're my complete opposite then, as what I want is more closed-track arcade racers.

It seems you're the one in luck though, as open-world racers and more realistic racing games are on the rise, whereas arcade racers are a dying breed. Apart from NFS that is, but I just don't like NFS...

@Lunastra78: It is sad to see the death of arcade racing, especially when NFS used to be such a shining example of it. Long gone are the glory days of Burnout 3 I'm afraid :(

You're right there though, my preference is gaining more traction thanks to things like Forza Horizon 2. (Which is currently the single best racing game I've ever played lol)

@skyhighgam3r: Seems gamers prefer microtransactions and paid DLC more than they care about traffic in their racers.

@wookiegr: I just want to see more simulation style racing games without a focus on closed-track racing.

It's just no fun to me when there isn't obstacles to avoid like cars/people.

@skyhighgam3r: isn't it just a different kind of beast, just a different kind of game that never was going to include ongoing incoming traffic and police and people? And sorry for that insult man. To tell you the truth I heard it and loved it and wanted to use it which I did. And I'm sorry.
