Pokemon X and Y announced for 3DS in October 2013

i want a lugia as starting pokemon

I feel like I am going to level up all the freaking pokemons to lvl 100. And the game won't be launched until then;

Gosh I can't wait for this game.

I'm allergic to the block heads, I look at ken sugimori art, and I like it, I look at the graphics, that being any pokemon game, I feel it's cheap as shit.

How hard is it to keep the cool looks of the original concept artist? Even though I know the game will be good, since they made some progress story-wise, I can't digest those huge heads as big as their bodies! The characters don't look cute/fun or special, the graphics don't even make them look childish, only plain retarted.

To sum up, I was REALLY impressed by the manga/anime style trailer/cutscene from black2 white2. POkemon would have been awesome if it had evolved in that direction. The gameplay looks more interactive, we'll just see if it's just good enough to make me blind and not pay attention to the DK Mode Heads....

Hellz yeah!!!!!!! :D I can't wait for October, Pokemon X and Y are the perfect reasons for getting the 3DS.

And I don't mean to offend anybody, and if this doesn't relate to you then don't take it to heart..but pokemon fans can be some of the whiniest bunch of babies..be glad that Pokemon is still going strong after all these years. You should be happy and proud that Nintendo is still trying to make the series better with every new installment.

If you guys aren't yammering for remakes to old ass Hoen (gen 3), or complaining about titles (Black/White).....then you're complaining about pokemon designs (every gen after Hoen). Which it's perplexing because all you guys do bitch about it for a month or two after launch then you cave in and buy em' anyway. If pokemon is becoming redundant or unoriginal to you....then...stop playing the games and let the fans who REALLY ENJOY pokemon have their fun (me included XD).

Srry for the long post, and like I stated earlier, I dont mean to offend anyone, but I'm tired of all the 'proposed' fans buzz-killing any kind of excitement when a new gen come out with negativity or whining....but I cannot wait to get my hands on X and Y XD

Christ those are some ugly starters, the fire type one looks semi-acceptable, and these titles are getting worse and worse.

OH NOT GOOD! I would really rather not see all that potential content get sacrificed to the 3D textures' memory space...DON'T KILL MY POKEMON GAMES!

Use to love Pokemon, but the formula never changes and I am getting older so the feeling isn't the same. Been around since the good old blue and red days in black and white.

here's a thought what if studio ghibli took over the pokemon franchise. i mean would it not be an upgrade to the lore of pokemon and this is my opinion but i'd say they would do pokemon some good as far as art and design of pokemon too...

Hope they make it more challenging and the battle system takes more skill, previous pokemon were so easy that battles started becoming tedious

Great news. 3D or not, Pokemon (the mainline series) remains one of my favorite games after all these years. I admit Black and White and their respective successors were a bit lacking in the imagination department (especially when it comes to the Pokemon designs, since that is where the only real differences are), but I still enjoy building myself a small army of Pokemon with every new release.

I don't know if the 3D will add a lot of extra value, but it looks cool so far. I'm kind of amazed they made everything 3D, from the cities to the Pokemon battles. For me that is enough proof that Nintendo still cares and takes pride in their Pokemon titles.

I'm not really sure if I like the names of the new titles, though. Can we already add Pokemon XY or Pokemon Z to the list?
