Pokemon: Twilight Wings Final Episode Now Available

Pokemon: Twilight Wings, the anime miniseries that ties into the recent Pokemon Sword and Shield, has reached its conclusion. The final episode went up on the official YouTube channel, featuring loads of cameos from familiar Sword and Shield trainers.

As usual, the story revolves around the little boy John, a fan of the Pokemon champion Leon who has always dreamed of seeing him in a real match. The episode resolves that plot with appropriately touching fashion, while also featuring various Galarian trainers adding some of their own commentary.

The seven-part mini-series has been releasing slowly after debuting in January. Not all of the episodes have focused strictly on John, as several have featured anthology-style stories about Gym leaders like Nessa and Bea. But John has been the heart and returned to the forefront over the last few episodes.

Pokemon Sword and Shield have been a hit for Nintendo, having already become the third-best-selling Pokemon games of all time. It's also the first Pokemon generation to receive post-launch expansions. The Isle of Armor DLC already released, and the other piece, The Crown Tundra, is coming later this year. A current Max Raid event is offering a variety of Pikachus.
