Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire remakes coming to 3DS this year

Hopefully, someday, there will be a virtual reality pokemon game

I hope its a new game set in the ruby and sapphire gaming world; Im not really interested in a copy/paste remix. Also will this become the new mainline pokemon game or will it still be x and y?

LOL Well Yellow was the first Directors Cut of Original Red and Blue. Then Crystal was a Directors of Gold and Silver, Emerald of Ruby and Sapphire and Platinum was the Directors of Diamond and Pearl.. so When Heart Gold and Soul Silver came out for DS I was Expecting Spirit Crystal. Guess Nintendo missed the boat.

I still have my Pokemon Sapphire Game Boy Advance cartridge along with my GBA-SP. Keeping it as a memento.

Nintendo Please would you please jump onto the Originality Train that you used to Own. Another Re-hash ..No big Surprise. Still no new idea's for Pokémon either Eh? What the Trash bag, Flat tire and Ice Cream Cone Pokémon did not work so we have to regress to play the same game again?? If your really fishing for new ideas then why not try an Empty Soda Bottle Pokémon?? or a Chicken Wing Pokémon?? or more Animal hybrids Like the Rabbit-Buffalo hybrid The "Bunuffalo" or the "GiraffiCorn"

Damn it's been over 10 years since ruby and sapphire already?

I'm really hoping that they do the sequel thing like they did with Black2 and White2. From the sounds of it it might not be too far off. If you think about it, there really isn't a point to just revisit the same story as the reason we got remakes before was due to incompatibility. I really hope they go in another direction with this especially seeing that Groudon and Kyogre will be getting new forms.

Anyone think it's strange they announced this just weeks before E3? Think it's an attempt at keeping shareholders happy until then?

Definitely getting Omega Ruby the day they get released, and I know someone who's getting Alpha Sapphire so we should be able to catch 'em all.
Wonder what Nintendo's next game will be after these... Pokémon Z?

I will keep an eye open for these games, X and Y was a step in the right direction but lacked content.

Looking foward to it :) i thought X and Y was a bad pokemon game because of that awful story you had to force yourself through and get next to nothing after in terms of content post that horrible story. Please don't you ever do that again game freak!

The last Pokemon games were really good. Not sure I would want to play another remake, but I guess I'll see what they do with it.

There were so many thing that I liked about Ruby (cool pokemon designs, especially the starters and legendaries, awesome battle soundtrack, weather change) and disliked (Only a few older pokemon present, no acces to older regions), but ultimately it was a very fun game (though Yellow and Gold are still my favorites).

What?! Ruby just got out several years ago; why already a remake?

Definitely looking forward to getting this one as well. Was really happy with Pokemon Y. I hope the remake Crystal Version... I had such a blast with that game, that was my entire childhood right there!

I want them to expand on trainer customization. The boutiques were a nice start but the clothing choices for both genders were rather limited especially for male players, while female trainers got stuck with mostly frilly shit. I propose a qr boutique that allows players to design clothing, hats, accesories and shoes. Also alow us to take our hats off. When I first played XY I had it set in my heart to wear no hat and just have the sunglasses propped atop my head or wear hair pins, or glasses over the eyes. I'd also like to customize my face. And lastly I want an adult and kid trainer choice for each gender the adults will start out in a different town of course or be the older sibling of the child trainer. this may allow for varying story lines

It annoys me to no end when 20-somethings are unhappy with Nintendo for making Pokemon remakes. You are not the target audience. Please understand this. Please..
