Play These Xbox One Games For Free This Weekend

A crop of Xbox One titles will be available to play for free until Sunday, April 26 for both Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass subscribers. The list includes Bleeding Edge, Madden NFL 20, and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.

All three games, part of Xbox's latest Free Play Days event this weekend, can be downloaded and played for free right now through the Microsoft Store. You must be signed in with your Xbox Live Gold account in order to see the available titles, but otherwise, they're yours to play until April 26 at 11:59 PM PT.

Though not on the list proper, XCOM 2 is still available as part of this weekend's Free Play Days event. After the event lapses on Monday, April 27, you will be required to buy the games in order to continue playing them.

Bleeding Edge, developed by Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice creator Ninja Theory, is an online multiplayer brawler. The game launched in March 2020 and the studio is already preparing more content for it, including a brand-new fighter that's a mech piloting dolphin. Madden 20 is the latest entry in EA's long-running football simulator. While it's free to play on Xbox One, thanks to the company's Free Play Days event, it's also available for free to play on PlayStation 4 until April 26. We awarded the game an 8/10 in our Madden 20 review.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is the oldest game on the list and first launched in February 2016. An expansion for the game, titled Road to Boruto, came out in February 2017 and packaged a bunch of characters from the Boruto anime. A Nintendo Switch port--a sort of Definitive Edition of the game featuring all of its currently available DLC and more--is available now.
