The Last of Us Season 2 is in production now, and star Pedro Pascal has teased that filming is "going amazing." Pascal recently broke his arm and had surgery, but he's back on set already and told Deadline it feels "incredible to be back home" with the cast and crew.

"They're working harder than I could even imagine, even harder than our first season, which is close to impossible. It's pretty inspiring and unbelievable," he said.

Pascal returns to play Joel in Season 2. Anyone who has played The Last of Us: Part 2, which is being adapted for the show, knows what's to come for Joel. "Stepping into those boots again, it feels strangely brand-new," he said. "I've never done anything like this before that has such original authorship before I ever got to it."

"I guess I'm learning something new every day, and I'll be thinking about it probably for the rest of my life," he said.

Pascal recently won best Male Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Joel on The Last of Us at the SAG Awards. He said drank tequila and got a buzz going before the show. Later that night, Pascal won--saying he was "genuinely surprised." He got up on stage and delivered a speech while under the influence--check it out below.

The Last of Us Season 2 is coming in 2025, so fans will need to get comfortable. In addition to Pascal coming back to play Joel, Bella Ramsey returns to portray Ellie. New cast members for Season 2 include Kaitlyn Dever (Abby), Young Mazino (Jesse), and Isabela Merced (Dina).
