Anyone who watched the Golden Globes this weekend might have noticed that The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal was sporting a sling for his left arm, and now we know why. According to Variety, Pascal broke his left arm after falling down stairs at his family's home.

He is due to have surgery this month, and, amazingly, he apparently said he should be ready to go for The Last of Us Season 2. Production is set to begin in mid-February, and some might have assumed the schedule would need to be pushed to acomodate Pascal's injury. However, that doesn't seem to be the case.

The exact nature of Pascal's injury is unknown, but that sure sounds like a speedy recovery time. In any event, Pascal appeared to be in good spirits during the awards show.

The Last of Us is an action-heavy show. In Season 1, Pascal used a stunt double, Denton Edge, and Pascal really put him to work. "I would want him to step in at every possibly opportunity," Pascal said of his stunt double. Edge performed many of the intense sequences like fights, throwing people against walls, and falling off horses.

Pascal was up Best Actor in a TV Drama alongside Kieran Culkin from Succession. Culkin won, and in his acceptance speech, he joked, "Suck it, Pedro." The camera then cut to Pascal, who seemingly recreated his famous laugh/cry meme.
