Blizzard previously confirmed it is planning to launch Overwatch in 2016, but has not officially provided a specific release date itself. It's also possible the release date featured in the ad is a placeholder. GameSpot has contacted Blizzard for confirmation.

Overwatch was initially revealed as a PC game, but in November 2015 Blizzard added announced Overwatch for Xbox One and PS4. The game is not free-to-play and it will not offer cross-platform play across PC and consoles due to the advantage keyboard and mouse players might have.
