Nintendo Switch Gets Child Of Light And Valiant Hearts This Fall
Experience both hand-drawn adventures on the go.
Four years after both games released, Ubisoft has announced that Child of Light and Valiant Hearts: The Great War will be headed to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
In a blog post published on the official Ubisoft News page, the publisher confirmed that the "two hand-drawn adventures from Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Montpellier are coming to Nintendo Switch on October 11 and November 8," with Child of Light in October and Valiant Hearts in November. Both games will have a few Nintendo Switch exclusive features, like multiplayer in Child of Light and full touchscreen capability in Valiant Hearts. And Valiant Hearts for the Nintendo Switch will also come with an interactive comic, Valiant Hearts: Dogs of War.
Child of Light is a side-scrolling, platforming RPG with turn-based combat set in a fantasy world inspired by childhood fairytales. In our review, we said it was "a wonderfully realized, somber adventure, and [we] couldn't be happier that such a game exists."
Valiant Hearts: The Great War is a puzzle platformer inspired by letters written during World War I. In our review, we called it "a visually beautiful game that deftly moves between moments of joy and moments of tragedy, and ultimately doesn't shy away from the fact that 'great' is just about the last thing any war should be called."
Child of Light on the Nintendo Switch will be available on October 11, and Valiant Hearts: The Great War on the Nintendo Switch will be available on November 8.
