Set your home realm through the use of Estate Cairns in Nightingale.

Comments

There are numerous worlds to explore in Nightingale. However, only one can be truly called your home. You also need a particular structure to help with your base. Here's our guide on how to fast travel and use Estate Cairns in Nightingale.

How to fast travel and use Estate Cairns in Nightingale

The Nightingale fast travel system is primarily done by way of an object called the Estate Cairn. This structure can only be built in Abeyance Realms, and it requires 20x Rocks and 5x Stone Block.

The functions of the Estate Cairn

Upon placing an Estate Cairn and activating it, the Abeyance Realm that you're in will be saved as your home realm. Regardless of whichever world you go to, you can always fast-travel back to your home realm by opening the map and clicking on the "Travel to Respite Realm" button. Be forewarned that you might not be able to return to the same world that you're leaving due to procedural generation.

You only need a few materials to build an Estate Cairn in Nightingale.

Here are some additional tips:

  • Because the Estate Cairn sets your home realm, you can consider it your base of operations. Try to place it in areas where there are a lot of resources or vendor NPCs. We also suggest forest biomes since these don't usually have a lot of hazards compared to deserts or swamplands.
  • If you perish in a world where you don't have an Estate Cairn (i.e. Antiquarian Realm), you'll be respawned at the nearest Faerie Ring instead.
  • You can only have one Estate Cairn active at any given time. If you build and activate a new one, it will overwrite the previous location. For example: let's say you're still in the same Abeyance Realm. If you don't like the initial location of your base, you can just search for a better spot and build another Estate Cairn there.
  • Conversely, let's assume that you used a portal to go to a different Abeyance Realm, and you created and activated a new Estate Cairn there. If this happens, then there's a chance that you won't be able to return to the previous Abeyance Realm if you changed the portal's configuration.
Return to your Respite Realm (or home base) whenever you feel like it.

How the Estate Cairn functions in multiplayer

The Estate Cairn in Nightingale can also be used for those looking to team up with other players. Upon completing the tutorial portion of the game, you should be able to invite friends or set your realm to "public" (if you want random people to drop by). If other players build an Estate Cairn in your realm, then it will also be considered their respite/home realm, too. This essentially allows multiple players to have the same home realm or shared worldspace.

In any case, this is how you can fast-travel and use Estate Cairns in Nightingale. Since we're already talking about heading to different worlds, you might want to know about Realm Cards and Realmic Transmuters.

Nightingale lets you travel to distant realms with their own rewards, dangers, and opportunities. For more tips and information, you can check out our guides hub.
