Nightingale - How To Use Realmic Transmuters

Use the Realmic Transmuter to add various modifiers in Nightingale.

Comments

Nightingale allows you to explore strange new worlds by going through dimensional portals. Still, there's a particular feature that lets you make changes to your current location, offering benefits and maybe some dangers, too. Here's our guide on how to use the Realmic Transmuter in Nightingale.

How to use the Realmic Transmuter in Nightingale

The Realmic Transmuter is a type of machine that can be found in random locations in certain worlds. For instance, in the first Abeyance Forest Realm that we visited, it was located in the northeastern corner of the map. However, procedural generation might mean that its location would be different for other players.

There's also a chance that you might see one at the very top of a Fae Tower. These imposing structures have tough challenges for you to tackle. But if you reach the very top, you could reveal the entirety of the region, making it easier to explore the landscape and discover points of interest.

The Realmic Transmuter and Minor Cards

The Realmic Transmuters in Nightingale, compared to actual portals, do not use biome or type/danger cards. Instead, these devices only use Minor Cards. Simply select one and click the "Apply" button to activate the effect. This will grant modifiers to the current world that you're in, and the effect disappears once you leave.

Moreover, keep in mind that most card blueprints still need to be purchased from Essence Traders. Also, you should have the materials required to craft them. You can learn more in our Realm Card crafting and overview guide.

Examples of Minor Cards

Here are some examples of Minor Cards that we've discovered while we're out exploring:

  • Angler Card - Improves fishing skill and yields; hides you from hostiles while you're fishing.
  • Cleansing Card - Removes all effects from Minor Cards in a realm.
  • Dragon's Hoard Card - Increases the amount of chest rewards, as well as the chance of finding rare gems; lowers your damage resistance.
  • Explorer Card - Improves movement speed; increases resistance to damage, but also decreases the damage that you deal.
  • Feast Card - Prolongs food effects, heal faster, and grow hungry slowly.
  • Maleficate Card - Plunges your current realm into eternal night; increases the drops of Bound enemies.
  • Settler Card - Increases yield of refined building materials and durability of structures; reduces stamina recovery rate.
  • Thinned Veil Card - Improves movement speed, jump distance, and stamina usage.
  • Utopia Card - The sun will never set in your current realm.

In any case, this is how you use Realmic Transmuters in Nightingale. Among these options, we wholeheartedly recommend the Feast Card. Its boosts to food and healing effects can help alleviate the hunger mechanic for your character's continued survival.

Nightingale lets you travel to distant realms, each with their own rewards, dangers, and opportunities. For more tips and information, you can check out our guides hub.
