Next Xbox One Backwards-Compatible Games Arrive, See Them Here
Dark Souls and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 have joined the program.
Two more Xbox 360 games have been added to the Xbox One's backwards compatibility library. As announced today by Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb, the games are Dark Souls and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Back in February, Bandai Namco announced that Dark Souls would join the lineup.
The games arrive in the lineup on the same day that the Xbox One was updated to include a new store where you can search for, buy, and download backwards-compatible Xbox 360 games.
As announced previously, everyone who preorders a digital copy of Dark Souls III for Xbox One gets a free copy of Dark Souls' Xbox 360 version, playable through backwards compatibility.
This is the second time Microsoft has added new titles to the program this week, as the company released Assassin's Creed and Dark Void on Monday. There is no set schedule for when new games will be added. As Microsoft said previously, titles are added as soon as they are ready, not on a monthly basis.

Microsoft has said it is holding discussions with all major publishers and developers to possibly bring their games to the program, so if your favorite game hasn't been added yet, there is still hope. Ultimately, the decision about whether or not a game is added to the lineup comes down to individual publishers.
