New Version of Xbox One Update Out Now for Testers

The update should arrive for everyone in the coming weeks.

Xbox One Preview Program members can now download a new version of the update containing more features than before. As explained by Xbox engineer Mike Ybarra, the update to the update introduces the new Gamerscore leaderboard, a Sports section for the OneGuide, and the ability to move pins.

Ybarra also provided some instructions for how to move your pins/apps around. "Highlight a pinned item and hit Y, or press Menu, then select Move," he said.

The Xbox One system update that introduces this feature and others should arrive for everyone "in a few weeks," which would be sometime around early February. Check out this post for lots more on what's included with the new Xbox One update.

Before this, the latest Xbox One system update was the New Xbox One Experience. It arrived in November and totally overhauled the Xbox One's UI and introduced backwards compatibility support for Xbox 360 games.

xbox one is always improving it self thanks to microsoft, unlike sony that only gets "security stability updates" lol xbox won > potatostation 3.5

It will not get you any sympathy of normal Xbox owners nor you will convince any PS owner to change.

Need the controller signal strengthened -- or at least the timeout values increased. Still far too many drops/reconnects. Yes, they've been faster since last year, but even having completely replaced the controller and a standard distance of ~12', I still have ~2-4 disconnects per gaming session. Battery level has no impact -- same amount on fresh or near-empty.

@Pyrosa: Could be a problem with your console's wireless hardware, not the controller.

My Xbone has issues with disconnecting from wifi, or not connecting to wifi when it first boots up

When are we finally going to get Cortana on Xbone?

Would also like some different Power Off options/commands. Something like "Xbox, turn off console only", for when I'm switching to a difference device and don't want the TV to turn off as well.

its embarrising how long they have dragged this O.S out, stripped it off all feature at launch and now giving us crumbs over 2 and a bit years. Hey lambs, its their 3rd console, i think its fair to say this thing could of been amazing out of the box, but we need the illusion of progression.

@sladakrobot: yep, but its not fair that they did that by making this o.s so bad, they should built on the back of the 360 o.s but that would not left much room for improvement and would of been hard to give the illusion of giant steps in o.s advancements, at the end of the day its just an o.s but lambs get excited and celebrate.
