In an effort to keep fans up-to-date with upcoming Xbox One-exclusive Sunset Overdrive, developer Insomniac Games has launched a weekly video program called "Sunset TV." The first episode went live yesterday and it contains a few new details about the game. First, though you may have noticed some cars in the recently released Sunset Overdrive gameplay trailer, you will not be able to drive these vehicles.

"You cannot drive cars in Sunset Overdrive, mainly because you're the only vehicle you need. All these other cars, all that other business, that would just slow you down," Insomniac Games community manager Brandon Winfrey says.

The video also touches on Sunset Overdrive's traversal system, which sees players quickly moving through the city by bouncing on cars, attaching to power lines, and running on walls.

"One thing we really wanted to do in Sunset Overdrive is make the traversal as active as possible," Winfrey says. "So what we did was build the city in a way that the fastest way to get places was to actually combo your movement options."

He went on to say that Sunset Overdrive's world has also been designed with verticality in mind, and that players will be rewarded for utilizing the high-up traversal options.

Next week's episode of Sunset TV will focus on the game's "Amp" system. These are special modifiers you can apply to your weapons and character.

Sunset Overdrive launches this fall exclusively for Xbox One. For more on the game, be sure to read GameSpot's previous coverage.
