Resistance and Ratchet & Clank developer Insomniac Games today released the first gameplay trailer for their upcoming Xbox One-exclusive, Sunset Overdrive, and it does not disappoint. The trailer sets up what the mature-themed, third-person open-world game will deliver.

"It's high-action, fast-paced, and takes the concept of the boring copy/pasted shooter, flips its on its ugly head, and lets you do the impossible. In short, it kicks ass," Insomniac says.

The gameplay video also reveals some of the enemies you'll face in Sunset Overdrive, including the "blower," whose arm is made out of a leafblower. We also get a look at a handful of the guns and abilities you'll have for Sunset Overdrive.

Insomniac is well-known for its highly unique weapons, and it appears Sunset Overdrive will carry that trend forward. One of the weapons we see in the video lets you shoot teddy bears with dynamite strapped to them.

Alongside the gameplay trailer, Microsoft today announced a special Sunset Overdrive Day One Edition, which features exclusive outfits and weapons. One of the weapons is a gun called "Nothin' but the Hits." It shoots multi-colored vinyls. Microsoft also released Day One Editions for Forza Motorsport 5 and Dead Rising 3.

Sunset Overdrive launches this fall only for Xbox One. For more on the game, be sure to read GameSpot's recently published preview.
