A previously unseen cold open for The Office has been revealed for the first time, and it's all about toilet humor. In this cold open from Season 4, Michael Scott (Steve Carell) has an accident on the toilet that he is promptly made fun of for. We won't spoil it all for you, but suffice to say, it's got all the hallmarks of a classic cold open. And the end of the scene is truly unexpected.

Check it out below:

This never-before-seen cold open is apparently part of the latest batch of "Superfan" episodes for Season 4 that arrived on Peacock on January 1. You can subscribe to Peacock to watch every episode of The Office as well as its deleted scenes and other Superfan episodes.

In other recent news about The Office, it was recently revealed that NBC apparently paid James Gandolfini $3 million to NOT star on The Office as Steve Carell's replacement. It was also recently revealed that the original plan was for Jim (John Krasinski) to cheat on Pam (Jenna Fischer) before Krasinski put his foot down and said no.

"My feeling is there is a threshold with which you can push our audience. They are so dedicated. We have shown such great respect to them. But there's a moment where if you push them too far, they'll never come back. And I think that if you show Jim cheating, they'll never come back," he said.
