Microsoft has announced and released a new Xbox One S bundle and this one is themed around one of the company's biggest franchises. The $300 Minecraft Favorites Bundle, as it's called, comes with the 500 GB system and a digital copy of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition, as well as a number of DLC packs and more.

The Favorites Bundle comes with the Favorites Pack, which itself includes the Festive Mash-up Pack, Halo Mash-up, Fantasy Texture Pack, Natural Texture Pack, City Texture Pack, Battle & Beasts Skin Pack, and Battle & Beasts 2 Skin Pack. It also features the Builder's Pack, which contains the Biome Settlers Skin Pack, Cartoon Texture Pack, Candy Texture Pack, Plastic Texture Pack, Pattern Texture Pack, and the Greek Mythology Mash-up Pack. In all, you're getting more than 230 character skins.

People who buy the Favorites Bundle also get a free download code for Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition's beta, as well as a 14-day Xbox Live Gold trial membership.

The console package is out now in the United States and Canada, while it's coming to the UK, western Europe, and central Europe on October 11. It lands in Australia and New Zealand on November 1. People in Asia and Latin America may need to wait longer, as it's only listed as "coming soon" for those markets.

This is just the latest Xbox One S game bundle. Microsoft also offers systems with pack-in games like Halo 5: Guardians and Madden NFL 17, while upcoming bundles are themed around FIFA 17, Battlefield 1, and Gears of War 4. You can see a full rundown of systems at Microsoft's website.

It would have been so easy to have a cool, blocky skin for the console. A creeper or just some dirt blocks or something.

@ProtossRushX: You sure have a way with words ProtossRushX. Others in SW might call you a fool but, you're okay in my books.

This bundle looks somewhat underwhelming to Teens and up but in another way, it can be targeted towards younger kids for that price $300.

Do you have a child getting into gaming? If so, I would highly recommend this bundle. My daughter was 5 when we started Minecraft. We have a shared world we play together on survival, and she has a ton she created on creation mode. Some awesome gaming sessions with her, some great moments we have shared and more to come.

@vallee05: I will always recommend to any parents who want to get there kids into playing video games early at that age, I will always point them out to play any Nintendo consoles is always the best way to start there gaming career habits. Got my daughter playing my old Gamecube at age 7 and now, she's enjoying her Wii U.

@davillain-: I have a five year old daughter, and I was thinking of getting the new Nintendo console that's supposed to be coming out next year so we can all play the new game as a family, but I'm wondering if it might be better to get a Wii U instead. What would you suggest?

@neo-rtsd: Wii U is the best choice since there's more great Wii U exclusive games now then it was at launch.

@davillain-: I was thinking the same thing. It seems like places aren't really selling many different options for the Wii U now though. Some places aren't even re-stocking them.
