Metal Gear Solid V has 'vast' multiplayer mode

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will include a "vast" multiplayer mode, creator Hideo Kojima has confirmed in a new interview with CVG. He explained that this new mode will be developed by Kojima Productions' recently established Los Angeles studio in collaboration with the company's main outfit in Japan.

"Yes, we plan on creating Metal Gear Online," Kojima said. "Multiplayer right now is being created at our LA studio as well as us. We're working closely to create a vast multiplayer for all the fans."

No further information about the open-world game's multiplayer mode was divulged.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is currently in development for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It will feature real-time weather, new stealth options, various modes of transportation (tanks, horses, cars), and is said to offer "unparalleled strategic freedom."

Kojima also recently revealed that the final version of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will look better than the trailer shown off during Microsoft's E3 briefing on Monday.

¿Are we all agree that when you buy a game that does have campaing and multiplayer, you are paying for it?

So if I get this game, I won't be able to "touch" that part that I did pay because I'M NOT interested in PS+. Nice...

@fredyellowone lol I remember how long time it took me to even TRY the MGS4 multiplayer mode. I bought the game at the same time I got my PS3 so I had to create a PSN account, then a Kojima account, and lastly a MGS4 account. All of them were a pain in the ass to create, especially with a controller.

Judging by what Kojima has done before and what this game is going for, I bet this includes co-op. I'll play through the game solo the first time but after that would very much look forward to co-op. And if multiplayer is made a bit more playable than past MGO, it will be a hell of a fun time.

I dont get the same feeling as I did for all the other MGS games for this one. I feel the story and characters have become too convoluted. The whole- this game is part of many other episodes things is annoying and doesn't seem to fit MGS. The multiplayer doesn't excite me either. Maybe (Im hoping) Ill change my mind when the game is actually released.

@MaestroMike One thing I've noticed is how serious MGS V is trying to be, I mean all that graphic content and emotions in the trailers... MGS used to be a funny game with funny codec conversations, hilarious moments of all sorts!...

Maybe because we're becoming the 'old guys'. Old guys are hard to amaze because we've seen so much. If you played all MGS games since when games were on floppy disks and cassettes, then you must be quite old, let's hope more brilliant games will come out before it becomes weird to hold a controller. Ha ha ha.

LOVE metal gear. HATE that kojima is still a typical Japaense HENTAI! What double D babe would be in a bikini in the desert? I love HIS games, but for ONCE leave the T and A out of it! pervert! There is a time and a place for certian things. I live in Japan. six years now and one thing is for sure. JAPAN has NO idea when to put T and A into something and when to leave it out!
