At the time, Kojima Productions producer Ken-ichiro Imaizumi also revealed the company was planning to open a studio in California, "if we can find the right people."

It seems the search is now out to find staffers for the Los Angeles-based Kojima Productions studio.

According to recent job listings, Kojima Production Los Angeles is looking for environment, character, and cinematic artists, as well as gameplay programmers, game level designers, and animators for its new Californian studio.

Most of the job descriptions make reference to a "3D action game", but Kojima Productions has not revealed any more details about what the Los Angeles studio will be working on.

Last month, Kojima himself unveiled the next chapter in the Metal Gear franchise, titled Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes. The game will run on the new Fox engine being built by Kojima Productions, and will reportedly be an open-world title targeted at "current generation specifications."
