"While rehearsing a stunt on set, one of our talented stuntpersons was injured and sustained a cut on her head," Amazon said. "She was immediately transported to a hospital, where she was seen by a specialist and went home to recover shortly after.

The statement continues: "We are happy to report she is doing well and we plan to have her back at work soon. The health and safety of our cast and crew is our top priority, and we are reviewing the accident to ensure we are maintaining the highest levels of safety on our production."

The injured stunt actor was Elissa Cadwell, an Australian, who previously performed stunt roles for Nicole Kidman in Aquaman. The site's sources said Cadwell "fell into water in large tanks as planned, but her head struck a bolt in the process."

Cadwell also performed stunts for Blake Lively in the killer-shark movie The Shallows, while she also recently finished filming her first major acting role as Nitara in the Mortal Kombat movie.

Welsh actress Morfydd Clark is playing a young Galadriel, but other details about specific characters in the show are unknown.

Outside of the TV show, more details the new Gollum video game and the upcoming Lord of the Rings MMO have been confirmed.
