GameSpot -- 7/10

"Playing a lot of Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens won't be a chore, though, especially if you do have a younger partner to take with you on your galactic journey. These Lego games are confectionaries now, little candies that don't have a huge amount of substance but are enjoyable nonetheless. Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens doesn't really take you to a new galaxy far, far away, but it's still a pleasant journey." -- Randolph Ramsay [full review]

Game Informer -- 8.5/10

"Regardless of the numerous frustrations, I had a blast combing the game's open worlds for hidden gold bricks, and seeing Harrison Ford in action again as Han Solo. I can't stress just how cool this is, and he did a fantastic job reprising his role. A Lego title is a strange choice to deliver new Star Wars story material, but it works surprisingly well, and gives fans plenty of interesting and new content to digest." -- Andrew Reiner [full review]

IGN Spain -- 8/10

"The best thing about this game is that beyond the new features, it's the same game that we love to play. Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens has everything that has made this a memorable franchise: humor, coop adventure, and a mix of action, platforms, and puzzles. Beyond that the new features feel a little bit dull." -- Juan Garcia [full review]

God is a Geek -- 7.5/10

"So while it doesn't reinvent the wheel, The Force Awakens is a surprising time sink. Each level is hefty enough if you're the type who likes to get 'True Jedi' ranking, and as usual, there is reason to replay each level to unlock all the hidden stuff. What could have been a quick and easy cash grab is another Lego game fit to burst with content, and one that actually strives to make a more modern feeling product. While it's not going to change your mind one way or another, often there are two types of Lego game, and thankfully this firmly falls into the 'good' pile." -- Adam Cook [full review]

Video Gamer -- 7/10

"Lego TFA is good if you like anything Star Wars, it's good if you want something kids can play too, and it's good if you just bloody love these Lego games; if you're the intersecting point on the Venn diagram of all three then it's probably your game of the year. For the rest of us it's polished, good looking, and pretty well designed, but ultimately a toy that's becoming formulaic and a lot of us are probably tired with by now. If only there were a consumer product it was easy to compare it to." -- Alice Bell [full review]

Kotaku

"With all of its filler, both good and bad, Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens still feels like it should have waited for a few more movies. As I set about scouring the game's levels for special bricks, mini-kits, and other goodies fans of the extended franchise obsess over, I keep thinking about what a great third of a trilogy game this will make once Star Wars Episode IX arrives in 2019." -- Mike Fahey [full review]
