Legends Of Tomorrow Gets Supernatural Crossover In Appropriately Bizarre Way

The CW's Legends of Tomorrow landed the show’s best guest star ever: A car from another TV series.

When it comes to Legends of Tomorrow, by far the weirdest show in The CW’s Arrow-verse, do rules ever apply? It seems not, thankfully. When a show like Legends of Tomorrow can travel through time, change historic events, and keep a chain-smoking master of the occult on the payroll, all bets are off.

Likewise, Supernatural has never had a problem getting silly. Over its 25 seasons, the characters on the CW series have visited a reality where their lives are a TV show, attended a convention that celebrated them, and been transported into a Scooby-Doo cartoon. So, in a way, it makes perfect sense that these two shows are crossing over.

Now Playing: DC's Legends Of Tomorrow - Season 4 Extended Trailer

Of course, when it comes to Legends of Tomorrow and Supernatural, a run-of-the-mill crossover just doesn't fit the bill. So, instead, the Legends are visiting... the set of Supernatural. The CW has released new photos of the March 24 episode of Legends, titles "Zari, Not Zari," and they show Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), Constantine (Matt Ryan), and Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) spending time with none other than Baby, Dean Winchester's beloved Chevy Impala from Supernatural.

An episode description for the series reads, "Sara, Constantine, and Charlie find themselves in British Columbia searching for another piece of the Loom, but they run into a problem they couldn't have foreseen." In one of the photos from the episode, which you can see above, Sara is holding a filming notice for Supernatural which, coincidently, is filmed in British Columbia--Vancouver to be exact. In case you weren't aware, that's also where Legends of Tomorrow films. In fact, the majority of the Arrow-verse shoots there. The only series that films elsewhere is Black Lightning.

What can't be seen in the photos are any sort of cast or crew on the show's set. Where are Jared Padalecki (Sam), Jensen Ackles (Dean), and Misha Collins (Castiel)? While it's unlikely they'll appear in the episode--the trio is busy filming the final episodes of Supernatural--a quick peek at them would be a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, this does mean Supernatural does not exist in the same world as the Arrow-verse. However, it definitely is a TV show in the Arrow-verse, which isn't too bad.

Legends of Tomorrow airs Tuesdays on The CW.
