Left Behind Games praises support

Christian games just sound crappy

well its based on the left behind series which i know for a fact is not a good reference for religious truth so im not seeing how this could in any way be teh greatest invention for this genereation

I've never read any of the Left Behind books but I'll bet they are entertaining simply for their sheer ridiculousness and politically incorrect beliefs of races and creeds. Outdated propaganda to laugh at. People like Tim LaHaye, Jerry B. Jenkins, Pat Robertson and Kirk Cameron represent what is wrong with Evangelical Protestant Christianity and why it is always criticized. As for the game, well, the reviews say it all. Also, I think Big Huge Games will probably bail out when they find out the finished product will be the most offensive RTS game ever made.

I'm a bit confused. Is this game supposed to "reach this generation" and actually convert people to this particular type of christianity? As far as I'm concerned, I don't think any game can make a true believer out of someone. Just as Doom and GTA don't turn people into homicidal murderers, Left Behind won't cause a flood of born-again christians to appear. I could be wrong but I doubt it.

He wasn't trying to say that this game was a great invention, like the light bulb. He was merely pointing out that the game was the most effective MINISTRY TOOL that has been developed in this generation. The people who have responded with such hatred to his comments are only demonstrating their own ignorance. Maybe they should pay more attention to reading comprehension. this sounds about right to me. ^^

LaHaye is a religious zealot and a complete and utter fool. His writing is sub-par and the subject matter laughable. and he thinks a game version of a horrible book series is a great invention? even if its meanat as a "ministry tool" we dont need more of that brainwashing crap. gah! this is making my ears bleed.

Wow... After playing this game.... The claim that this is "The Greatest Invention developed in my lifetime to reach this generation" is like saying the Pet Rock was the single greatest thing to happen in the 20th century... They're both useless and better serve as paper weights than entertainment

Unfortunately, the aforementioned organizations are no authorities on games, and I doubt Mr. Lahaye really thinks it's "the greatest invention"... at least I hope not. I mean, I've read the 12 books and they really are pretty good.

by the way...i'm not saying that i think this game is good in terms of gameplay...because i've never played it, and i don't plan on it. this was made by a small company so i wouldn't expect much anyway. i just don't see why people have to bash christianity in any opportunity they can find.

interesting, id have to play the game before i could start accusing it of sucking though. i think that "This game is the greatest invention developed in my lifetime to reach this generation." meant reaching people with biblical stuff. that said, i would like a talking toothbrush....

On the bright side, despite the intolerance, the series is bursting with accidental humor a la "Battlefield Earth."

Isn't it a little too early to plan an expansion and sequel? If you are already knowing you're going to do that, include it in the original game itself! This is the same as leaving stuff for additional content.
