[Last Chance] Where Is Xur Today? Destiny 2 Exotics Location, Weapon, Armor (March 6-10)

It's your last chance to visit Xur and snag his Exotics before the start of Destiny 2's Season of the Dawn.

Comments

The Season of the Worthy is coming to Destiny 2 next week with a whole bunch of changes--including the return of the Trials of Osiris. That gives you just one more weekend to visit Xur and take advantage of his Exotics before the new season hits, weapons and Exotics get nerfed, and competition in the Crucible spikes. Here's where to go to find Xur and everything he's offering. [Update: Xur is here with a new slate of items for his first visit during Season of the Worthy.]

Xur is located on Nessus right now, in the Watcher's Grave area. His Exotic weapon this week is Prometheus Lens. Hunters can get Lucky Pants leg armor; Titans can purchase the Helm of Saint-14 helmet; and Warlocks have Apotheosis Veil helmet on offer.

Xur Location

To find Xur, spawn into the Watcher's Grave transmat zone on Nessus. Jump on your sparrow and head north toward Calus's golden barge near the north end of the area. Climb aboard to find Xur hanging on on the left side of the barge's deck.

Xur is hanging out on Calus's barge this weekend, so head to Nessus to find him.

Xur Inventory (March 6-10)

  • Prometheus Lens (Exotic trace rifle)
  • Lucky Pants (Exotic Hunters leg armor)
  • Helm of Saint-14 (Exotic Titan helmet)
  • Apotheosis Veil (Exotic Warlock helmet)

Leading Xur's inventory in the final week of the Season of Dawn is Prometheus Lens, an old Crucible favorite. The laser beam sets people on fire--and gets more powerful the longer you hold it on your target, making it great for PvP and PvE situations. With Trials about to start on March 13, you could do worse than Prometheus Lens for your Crucible adventures.

If Xur's wares aren't compelling, you can always roll the dice on a Fated Engram, which gives you a single Exotic from the limited pool of ones you haven't already earned, for the price of 97 Legendary shards. All Exotic Engrams are now Fated Engrams, but you'll have to level up your Season Pass or wait for a random drop to get some if you don't want to buy from Xur. Be sure to purchase it on the character who's missing the Exotic, and note that you can only get one per week, so choose wisely which of your characters makes the buy. If you're a PC or Xbox One player taking advantage of cross-save, you can now potentially get Wavesplitter from the Fated Engram as well, thanks to the fact that it's no longer exclusive to PS4.

Prometheus Lens

Prometheus Lens isn't a Crucible darling anymore, but it's still very effective in both PvP and PvE.
Prometheus Lens isn't a Crucible darling anymore, but it's still very effective in both PvP and PvE.

There was a period in Destiny 2 when Prometheus Lens was dominant in the Crucible. Bungie has tweaked the weapon since then, but the trace rifle is still really effective. The longer you hold down its laser beam on an enemy, the more damage it'll do--and if you score kills, the gun will reload part of its magazine from reserves, allowing you to keep firing for even longer.

Lucky Pants (Hunter)

No Caption Provided

Xur's offering for Hunters is handy if you love Hand Cannons. Every time you score a precision hit with one, the Exotic loads another round into the chamber of your gun--allowing you to keep firing as long as you're landing shots. Your Hand Cannons also ready faster and are more accurate after you swap to them, making Lucky Pants useful in PvP situations.

Helm of Saint-14 (Titan)

The final Xur offering of the Season of Dawn for Titans is right on theme: the Helm of Saint-14. The Exotic helmet amps up your Ward of Dawn Supers: enemies that pass through the Ward get blinded, while teammates who pass through get Overshields. Meanwhile, using Sentinel Shield blinds nearby enemies, as well.

Apotheosis Veil (Warlock)

Warlocks who spec for fast Supers can get a lot of utility out of Apotheosis Veil. The Exotic immediately regenerates all your abilities and health when you activate your Super--and it also causes your allies' class abilities to charge faster when they're nearby, too. If you can get Supers fast, you can get your abilities fast, too.
