[Last Chance] Pokemon Sword & Shield Baby Pokemon Max Raid Event Ending Today
Sword and Shield players are more likely to find Ditto and lots of baby Pokemon like Pichu and Riolu in Max Raids until April 15.
Pokemon Sword and Shield's latest Max Raid event is coming to an end very soon. The event concludes today, April 15, at 4:59 PM PT / 7:59 PM ET, giving you a few more hours to catch baby Pokemon and nab some helpful items.
This Max Raid event is themed around breeding. Baby Pokemon such as Pichu, Togepi, Munchlax, and Riolu are appearing more often in Max Raids, as is Ditto. Moreover, if you defeat or capture these Pokemon, your rewards will possibly include items such as Destiny Knots and Everstones, both of which are essential to breeding a competitive team.
If you haven't yet taken part in the event, you can refresh your Raid dens by connecting online via the Y-Comm or by going into Mystery Gift and selecting Get the Wild Area News. You can read more about the new Max Raid event on the official Pokemon website.
While the baby Pokemon event may be ending, another one is still underway. Until April 27, Gigantamax versions of Charizard, Duraludon, Garbodor, and Copperajah are appearing more frequently in Max Raids. Sword players are more likely to encounter Gigantamax Duraludon and Copperajah, while Shield players are more likely to find Gigantamax Charizard and Garbodor. Gigantamax Pokemon are normally incredibly rare outside of these events, so you won't want to miss your chance to catch them.
In other Pokemon news, The Pokemon Company recently shared some new details about Zarude, Sword and Shield's new Mythical Pokemon. The Rogue Monkey will be able to learn an exclusive move called Jungle Healing, which restores HP and cures status ailments to Zarude and other ally Pokemon on the field.
Sword and Shield are also receiving two DLC expansions this year: Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra. The former is slated to launch by the end of June, while the latter will arrive sometime this fall. You can read more about the upcoming expansions in our roundup of everything we know so far about Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra.
