Like other digital storefronts, the Nintendo Switch Eshop is ringing in 2018 with a limited-time sale. The Nindies New Year Sale is coming to an end at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET today, January 15, making this your final chance to snag discounts on a handful of great games for Nintendo's hybrid console.

Unlike the separate first-party Eshop sale going on in Europe, the Nindies sale is available in North America, Europe, and Australia/New Zealand, featuring commensurate discounts across all regions. Switch owners can get the acclaimed rhythm/action game Thumper for $13.39 (£10.71), the retro-inspired adventure game Thimbleweed Park for $15 (£11.24), and the stylish hack-and-slash game Severed for $10 (£9). Other great titles on sale as part of the promotion include:

Beyond those titles, US Switch owners can pick up Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star for $39, Tumblestone for $7.49, Xenoraid for $7.49, Stick It to the Man for $9, and The Coma: Recut for $16. A handful of retro action games from Inti Create games were also on sale in the US Eshop, including Blaster Master Zero ($7), Mighty Gunvolt Burst ($7), and the Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack ($32). However, those discounts expired on January 14.

You can find the full list of games on sale right now in the US Eshop on Nintendo's website. Those in Europe, meanwhile, have access to a different selection of discounted titles, including Arms, 1-2-Switch, Flip Wars, and Romancing SaGa 2. You can find the list of Europe's Eshop sales here.

a year later i'm blown away that Switch has almost no AAA games. This is my first Nintendo console in years.. and I was expecting to see almost all the great Wii U games be available on the switch. No.. I thought I would have access to all those great Zelda 3DS games.. Nope.. I thought surely after a year I could go online and down load Mario Brothers 3 or Super Mario World. Mega Man X Nope.. ..

CrunchRole? Netflix ? Just Hulu?

@lodoss900: I only recently got it during Black Friday so having Breath of The Wild, Odyssey, Mario + Rabbids, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, along with some the best indie games from the start made it worth it for me and I still don't regret it. That said I entirely see what you're getting at. I think it's also frustrating there are multiple ports and remasters with only slight enhancements releasing at $60.

That's especially annoying with the upcoming Switch version of Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze when 1. it should come with the previous game and 2. it was $50 to start with on Wii U. That the cartridges are more expensive means nothing to us consumers. If they have to raise the price they should at least try make worth it too. As good as they are I don't think a double pack of those games should be $60 either but at least it's a lot better and you have the excuse that it's a new product. However the same game being sold on a different console four years later for an additional $10 and only an easy mode added to it was just an awful decision.

@lodoss900: Exactly why I'm holding off on getting one. I have the Wii U and would make the switch from it to Switch except for the reasons stated above. There are only 2 Wii U games on Switch and third one coming next month. Not enough.

Over half of the games linked in this article have no Gamespot review. Could you guys maybe take a break from WWE articles and how much a movie makes at the box office articles and actually review some games?

Cave Story+ needs to go on sale for around 10$-15$. No way I'm paying $30 for it.

@silv3rst0rm: yup just free indie games I get from gold and plus. Not worth it.

Nintendo sales are always terrible. There game prices never drop.

@silv3rst0rm: Blaster Master Zero is great. The Megaman clone (Mighty Gunvolt Burst) is pretty sweet too.

@TheLoCoRaven: Yeah, all those Inticreates games I enjoy. If I didn't already own the physical copy I would definetly pick up that Gunvolt Striker pack at that price.

@silv3rst0rm:

Oxenfree is pretty great, but I haven't played anything else on this list.
