i agree a bit with organbank still with this new slim console it overheats :S and all they have done is made it shut down itsself when it reaches a hight temp WFT so that means serious games have their games cut off then have to wait god knows how long till ti cools down how retarded is that

I hope it fails and microsoft direct their R&D budget into improving the performance of the Xbox, instead of wasting time on this rubbish for casual gamers.

I'm going to laugh at everyone I see buying this at my local shop. $150.00 + $60.00= $210.00 plus state tax...lol Why not buy a Wii? or another 360?

It's a little too early to pre-order it - though I certainly wouldn't mind paying less if they did go lower than projected. In my mind, the kinect is a holiday purchase, and most people don't think about that until the week or so leading up to black friday.

$150 for an add on to a console, or $200 for a brand new Wii and 2 games. $60 for the games that work with the kinect or $50 for games that are for the wii. I just don't get how this thing is going to sell.

alan wake is dissapointing lol its too short and nno challenge at all some of the graphics are not good either the only thig that looks good is the lighing. the new 360 still overheats lol the only difference is it shuts its self off and you have to waiit tll cools down

I woulda been ready to buy a new 360 after their conference, I've been on the ropes for a while now and the new updated console woulda been just enough to pull me in. All they had to do was show off a few games to make me think "Yeah I have things to look forward to all year!" but instead we get CG tigers. Of course it's great for some people, but not so much for me. Guess I'll just borrow my brother's 360 for Alan Wake and Gears 3, those are the only exclusives I feel like I need to play.

$100 would be great, and I would buy it at that price point even though the launch games are not very exciting to me.

forgot to say there would be next to no lag if microsoft were not cheap skates and gone ahead with having a processor inside the connect instead they said it was too costly to have it which also sucks processor power from the 360

@ nick_2266 it looks ok but kinect had alot of lag still even though they say they have ironed it out a bit but not enough you can see on all the videos the characters on screen dont move when you do thhey move a bit after which to me ruins the whole thing

the sports for kinect look pretty fun. At least the camera might sense better than the wii. Other than that, i don't see kinect going far

ive always loved xbox i lloved the 1st one and like this one BUT i agree need more good exclusives i have both ps3 and 360 and so far the ps3 as more better exclusives than the 360 and they look better uncharted 1 and 2 look far better than anything thats on the 360 microsoft needs to sort it out

why cant the just focus on a exclusives because if idont see some xbox only new franchises I'm jumping ship

It is not the price tag of the actually hardware that turns me off from Kinect but rather the price of the software. Hearing [URL=<< LINK REMOVED >>]$60[/URL] a pop seems a bit much when comparing to mainstream titles equally the same in price. Kinect is directed for casual gamers so it is hard to ask for that amount when they will probably only play the game three time a week or so.

i agree with Dahaka-UK in principle kinect sounds good but i dont think even now we have the tech to work it correctly lets wait till they come out with somethign that can read your mind so when you think run your character runs now that would be great lol or microsoft should of included some type of controller so yyou could move your character etc so far with the sports game where you run it just looks about as crappy as doing it on the wii using the wii fit board

i think everyone will agree that a cheaper priced Kinect equals a better Kinect. i have it and Kinectimals preordered at GameStop and the only reason i'm getting Kinectimals is because it's something i think my daughter will enjoy playing. other than that game, i have no interest in preordering any of the other launch titles as it'll be the holiday season and before Christmas i'm sure ALL of those $60 Kinect launch titles will be on sale just about everywhere. i might THEN pick a few more of them up. gawd, i still remember last year.. Left 4 Dead 2 came out for $60 and 2 weeks later retailers were selling it for $35! you can BET this will happen with the Kinect games this Christmas season.

Until games are announced for Kinect that aren't shovelware, I don't think it will do well. I'll stick to the Wii for motion controls.

You know what. Even at £70 I wouldn't buy kinect. I wouldn't even buy it at £10. Honest to god I wouldn't own it if it came free with some money.

I cant wait for the PS3 motion controller, I dunno about Natal though (Yes I know, but I think Kinect is a retarded name.. Natal sounds much cooler)

Kinect HAD a lot of potential if they really put more thought into it, like WALKING! I spendt like 5 minutes thinking how to fix this issue! The answer i came to was the stance! Just put your feet into walking position and the camera would easily recognise that to make the in game character to walk! Same with the running, sure you would easily get tired but the same issue was with the Wii but people eventually got into better shape do to more! Same is with the stance! You would build up better muscle to stand in walking/running position more and more!

Are they surprised? With all the garbage out there and all the issues new technology is released with, who on earth would want this on day 1? I will wait until it is proven to be worth the money and all the bugs are worked out. Maybe if tech companies had higher standards in the quality control dept, consumers would be more willing to jump on their new endeavors.

Of course I'd rather play with Virtual animals, than my own dogs, and run track in my living room!!

At $150 it better come bundled with Kinect Sports, Kinect Adventure, and Kinectimals. $100 with Kinect Sports, and $30-40 for Kinectimals might get me to drop cash on this thing. Otherwise, my cash is going to Nintendo. Read it and weep, MS.

I'm more interested in 3d gaming rather than motion gaming...gaming is my time away from being physical to kicking back and relaxing where only my thumbs and mind do the work...perhaps I'll wait for a price drop and the reviews on some motion games before I invest my hard earned cash..
