Justice League: See Aquaman's Queen Mera for the First Time

Justice League opens in theaters next year, and we've already seen many of the movie's characters, including Aquaman. Now, we get to see the King of Atlantis's queen, as Amber Heard (The Danish Girl) dons the green armor as Mera, revealed by IGN.

The video shows a production still of Heard in costume, in addition to multiple pieces of concept art for the character. You can check it out below.

In the comics, Aquaman and Mera are married and often work together to keep the oceans safe. However, it's unclear how Mera will play into the upcoming Justice League movie or how much screen time she'll have. Of course, we'll keep you updated as more information is revealed.

In addition to Heard, Justice League stars Ben Affleck (Gone Girl) as Batman, Gal Gadot (Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) as Aquaman, Ezra Miller (Trainwreck) as Flash, Ray Fisher (The Astronaut Wives Club) as Cyborg, and Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) as Superman.

Director Zack Snyder recently released a video of the cast goofing around on set. It also gives us a better look at Batman's new suit and our first shot of Superman, who was not wearing the black suit revealed in August.
