A new cast member is joining the small but growing troupe of actors bringing Star Wars: Ahsoka to life. Ivanna Sakhno will reportedly play a new character in the series, Deadline reports.

Sakhno's American filmography is pretty short; the actress is probably best known for a small role in 2018's Pacific Rim: Uprising and a role on the Hulu series High Fidelity. Sakhno joins star Rosario Dawson and Natashia Liu Bordizzo. Dawson stars as Ahsoka Tano, the Togruta Jedi who once was a padawan to Anakin Skywalker. Bordizzo steps into the role of Mandalorian Sabine Wren. Hayden Christensen is also scheduled to make a guest appearance as Anakin Skywalker. Lucasfilm has not yet revealed the identity of Sakhno's character.

Ahsoka Tano first appeared in the Star Wars: Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels animated series, with Ashley Eckstein providing her voice. Tano made the jump to live-action in The Mandalorian Season 2, Episode 5, The Jedi. Lucasfilm announced a spinoff series centered on the character not even a month later at Disney's Investor Day in December 2020. Other upcoming Star Wars series include the Book of Boba Fett, which premieres on December 29, 2021; a series that follows Obi-Wan Kenobi 10 years after Revenge of the Sith, and which will also feature Hayden Christensen; Andor, which stars Diego Luna as his Rogue One character Cassian Andor. A Rangers of the New Republic series is also in the works, but its production schedule is in question after Disney severed ties with Gina Carano, who was to reprise her role as Cara Dune for the show.

Star Wars: Ahsoka will reportedly begin shooting in March 2022, and will likely debut in late 2022 or 2023.
