Injustice 2 Release Date Revealed [UPDATE]

[UPDATE] Warner Bros. PR confirmed Injustice 2's release date to GameSpot. The NetherRealm Studios Twitter account sent out a confirmation as well. It releases on May 16 for PS4 and Xbox One.

[ORIGINAL STORY] Injustice 2 may be released May 16, according to a tweet by NetherRealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon.

Now Playing: GS News Update: Injustice 2 Release Date Revealed

The tweet follows a listing on the official Xbox Live Rewards website earlier this week that indicated Injustice 2 would arrive in March, which Boon had said was false. Neither Boon or NetherRealm has explicitly stated whether this is the official release date.

The last character reveal for the DC Comics fighting game was back in August, when a trailer showed off Harley Quinn and Deadshot. Harley Quinn was in the original Injustice, while Deadshot is a newcomer to the series.

Injustice 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Fell for the hype over MkX and bought the game on release. While I enjoyed the game I felt like most fatalities were just out-of-place and exaggerated for the sake that they dont know anymore what to do to revitalize this dead,overdone franchise/fighting games who all become so boring and repetitive after a couple hours poured in. Same shit with injustice wheni t was a free game for PS+. downloaded it, played a few matches then the boredom comes in and you cant help but uninstall this trash.

@gameroutlawzz: agreed, played injustice for a few fights, the story was just terrible. pointless 3 second dialogue then fight, repeat over and over

I really had fun playing Injustice: Gods Along Us on PS4 was really fun but I'm just NOT gonna bother with Ed Boon's new Injustice 2 cause I didn't buy Mortal Kombat X until the Ultimate edition was release with all DLC and I'm just gonna wait for complete bundle edition for Injustice 2.

At the most, I'll watch the cutscenes on Youtube just to see the story for the time being.

@dorog1995: Tekken 7 is scheduled for March its running on Unreal 4 vs Unreal 3.5 on Injustice 2. Tekken 7 will be a more complete game with better graphics.

@mattsaroni24: Nope this game is running on Unreal 3.5 in 2017 and is held back graphically, Tekken 7 is running on Unreal 4 and definitely looks better.

...and not one of these will come out on time. I'm not sure why release dates exist for games anymore. Not one of them is ever on time, and they come incomplete. Being able to patch games now is a blessing and a curse. Remember when a game had to be released, complete, with as few big as possible, because once it was out there, it was out there?
