Rare's open-world sandbox launches on April 30 for PS5, and a new video showcases just how the game will take advantage of the system's hardware.

For starters, players will be able to play in either 1080p at 120fps or 4K at 60fps, and the sounds of the ocean will be enhanced with 3D audio.

Now Playing: Sea of Thieves PlayStation 5 Feature Overview: Official Trailer

That's not the only thing Rare will be taking advantage of because it'll also offer support for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, the latter of which comes into play when firing a weapon. In addition, Sea of Thieves will support the DualSense microphone and speaker, allowing players to speak with other pirates. Last but not least, Trophy hunters may be excited to hear that there are over 250 that they can unlock. It's also worth mentioning that Sea of Thieves will have cross-play with other platforms.

Sea of Thieves is just one of a handful of Xbox games making their way to rival platforms. In February, Obsidian's Pentiment released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. Then, on March 19, Hi-Fi Rush made its PS5 debut, and on April 19, Grounded will be playable on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Nintendo Switch.

PlayStation owners appear to be excited for the pirate game in particular, as Sea of Thieves preorders were previously shown to be exceeding those for Elden Ring's upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
