Here's How Much The World's Biggest SSD Will Cost You

SSDs at and above 1TB are still too pricey even today.

Of course an SSD with 100TB would be ridiculously priced. If you need 100TB just get HDDs and pay around $500. If you need speed you don't need storage space like that. Pick your side, because SSDs with a high storage capacity aren't for Mr. Joe everyone.

Anything below 1TB and it's fine, 500GB SSDs are enough for a lot of people and they're getting better priced nowadays than they used to be.

I still remember the first 500GB SSD I saw was around $1000. Not the case anymore. Good.

Over time, it's crazy to see how files get bigger and bigger, and the devices that contain the information about them get smaller and thinner.

It's only a matter of time before we see a PS9 bundle with NHL '48 preinstalled on the 1PB SDD model lol

that's so many space and a lot asking price to buy 1, 1 or 2 tb on a ssd is good enough.

Merely 20 years ago it would be the same price except for a 100TB HDD.

its 40 grand now but in a few years time it will become pretty standard and cheaper astime goes on then a new "larger" sized ssd/hdd will come along such as a 1 petabyte that will cost a similar price.

"Exadrive" made it sound like it would hold more than 1 thousand Teraybyte. Whatever the next bigger unit is. And I don't see anyone who could have any use for a 100TB SSD that costs as much as a premium car. Even the military could just use a bunch of smaller SSDs to achieve the same results. Or better ones. Who knows how this thing actually works and how fast it is.

Why does this article exist?? None of us are buying this.

I am calling it Sony SSD = $150 1TB!
