Halo 5 Adds More Fan-Made Maps, Including Halo 3's Valhalla and Sandtrap

Looking for a new arena to play in Halo 5: Guardians? You're in luck, as Microsoft has released a series of new fan-made Forge maps across Big Team Battle and Grifball.

Among the Forge maps now in rotation for Big Team Battle are remakes of Halo 3's Valhalla and Sandtrap maps, two fan-favorites from the 2007 Bungie game. You can see an overview for the new BTB maps through the video below, while more details and image galleries follow further down.

The new Halo 5 community Forge maps for BTB are:

• "Altar" by WyvernZu (the Sandtrap remake)
• "Boulevard" by alex quit (inspired by Halo 3: ODST)
• "Eagle Square" by SHIFTY time
• "Fracture" by Squally DaBeanz
• "Scavenger" by CommanderColson
• "Viking" by no god anywhere (the Valhalla remake)

There are also new Forge-made Grifball courts to enjoy. Also created by community members, these are:

In other Halo 5 news, 343 has announced that it's "loosened" the matchmaking skill parameters for all social playlists in order to "improve the experience." The developer has also talked more about the new content coming to the game in April with the free Ghosts of Meridian update.
