Ghosts of Meridian, the next free update for Halo 5: Guardians, is coming soon, and now developer 343 Industries has shared some more details on what to expect from the April update.

The content comes with new maps, vehicles, weapons, weapon skins, armor, helmets, and emblems. It also includes updates to Forge and multiplayer (Arena and Warzone), while it also makes some balance changes to weapons, as well as some UI updates. While we'll have to wait a little while longer for the full update details, 343 has now released an incomplete slide that shows some of the Reqs coming in the update.

For a closer look at the new Reqs, check out the images in the gallery above. Spotlighted items include the Tartarus' Gavel melee weapon and the Hannibal Scorpion and Mantis. You'll also get a closer look at the new Dynast Armor, along with the Steaktacular emblem, because "everyone loves a good steak."

You can also check out GameSpot's previous coverage to get a closer look at the new Warzone map, Skirmish at Darkstar.

343 has also published this ridiculously detailed Canon Fodder blog post that goes into greater depth on Ghosts of Meridian's new Reqs.

Every month since Halo launched in October has seen the release of a new, free update for the Xbox One shooter. New content arrived in November (The Battle of Shadow and Light), December (Cartographer's Gift), January (Infinity's Armor), and February (Hammer Storm). This streak comes to an end with Ghosts of Meridian, as it's not coming out until April.

343 will share more details about all of the new Reqs in future updates. We'll have more details as they are divulged. What do you make what we know about Ghosts of Meridian so far? Let us know in the comments below!
