GTAV unlikely until 2012 - Analyst

ok so they've done New York, Miami and LA, how about some love for Chi-town? GTA V Windy City Stories sounds great to me. They should do it old school gangster style too, I'm talkin zoot suits, classic cars, tommy guns, Al Capone style criminal business, selling illegal alcohol (yeah, it was illegal at one point) bribing cops, corrupting politics, that would be freakin awesome!

everyone has there take on the gta games but u cant tell me that gtaIV was not a good game i love every min. of it now i know it was some things they could of done better like custom cars more gear bigger map more side mission it still pack a big puch shooting someone in the face never look so real in a gta game.But i would like to see the next game in new jersey u have AC with the casinos and outlets alot of famous ppl live in nj that could work there is alot of citys in nj and suburbs to go to if u live here u will know what im gettin at

The Tommy Vercetti idea I like, but not the Carl Johnson -- well, as long as CJ remains a non-playable character then I'm okay, but Tommy is who I want to control. Tommy's too beautiful of a character to keep ignoring!

Rockstar should go Bluray and make a game where Tommy Verceti completes Vice City and then crosses the bridge overt to San Andreas with all its 3 portions and by end of the game mets up with Carl Johnson and they both kick Niko Belic's ass and put him on a boat for Liberty City :) Now that would be a game that i'd like.

God, there's no need for a GTA V, we need to see what happened in Los Santos and Vice City. Plus downloadable content for those areas. That should keep us occupied.

@T-_-K Exactly, they were even going to be in the original game. Obviously these parts of the larger picture cannot be compared to what VC and SA ended up being. Cheers for the knowledge m8 ;)

@Docky2k6 TBoGT & TLaD were supposed to be in the original GTA IV but GTA IV was being developed for PS3 only and after MS paid R* 50M$ to make the game for X360 as well, there was another part of the deal and it is that only X360 will have those DLCs, but thankfully R* realised that making them for all systems will get them more money and after a few months they poped out for PC and PS3.

I believe that GTA IV just brought the new engine which is a very hi-tec engine and now GTA V will be the real GTA with an awesome engine a good story and a huge gameplay fun. and i hope we get a F-35, diving suit, jetpack, a wide verity of weapons, tanks, apcs, helicopters, military boats, maybe submarine and lunching missiles and destructive environment.

@XBlade1X I see what you're saying buddy, but TLATD and TBOGT were merely DLC. They were around 7-10 hour long extensions of GTAIV. VC and SA were, depending on how high a percentage completion rate you went for, standalone games that had the depth, sheer gargantuan game content and narrative power to last 40-70 hours. well have to wait for new game of gta and i think they should do like san andres what was big sandbox in gta game so far and i think thy ey should do GTA HD collection next year keep pp busy and add muiplay as well if you reading this RockStar Games do this to keep our company going until the next gta game avives in 212 if pp agree thumbs up if not thumbs down all i can say gta will get better

i love hearing Analyst's talk all i hear is bull coming out most of the time they are wrong after the embarrassment of 4 it be good for a real gta game

Not everyone is like you CUTEPOTATOES. It's highly likely that they will have a little bit of everything... I liked GTAIV's friendship system. Although I think the idea needs some work it was a great idea. Sheesh brotha, how violent do you have to become before you begin questioning your sanity? (throwing people in front of trains? come on now man... for what?)

Oh I also missed the wackiness fun from San Andreas, GTA IV tried too hard with social missions. I don't want friends in the game, I just want to blow stuff up. The developers need to take some ideas from Saints Row 2 like throwing people in front of trains. Saints Row 2 seemed more like old school GTA which I missed. I liked some things from GTA IV but it was missing the stuff people enjoyed and loved from the previous titles

I would like Tokyo, Hong kong, or London. I am tired of the US cities, I wanna go overseas. Maybe you could do something like London, Paris, Sicily or something. Like San Andreas had 3 cities you could visit. Or if they do another Vice City you should be able to fly to Cuba or Colombia or Mexico to visit your drug Plantations

I loved Vice City. I wouldn't mind playing an HD version of it.

London or Hong Kong would be a great location with gang factions. If they redo San Andreas and make it bigger that would nice, too. One thing I want to see is more side missions, gang shootouts, more buildings that you can enter, better customization of characters and actually being able to purchase your own home to customize the interior with stuff to do.

or London, of course this would be cool so long as they used some outlying areas too (the 'countryside') and not just the grimy backstreets and cleaner west end/nice architecture. Not sure it would be as universally appealing as a US location unfortunately. And yeah the roads would make for more interesting layouts. Tokyo, Hong Kong would also be kinda cool to see. Florida/Miami would be the obvious choice (in the GTA Cycle) and with modern tech the variety of locations afforded in that setting would make very nice eye candy. Depends if they wanna go camp/fun like Vice City or gritty/Realistic.

Tokyo? London? umm... how do you have a gta game set in a place with no guns, drugs, or crime? Ive been to Tokyo, the most dangeous thing there is trying to cath the subway.

So I'm reading all these comment saying Tokyo, I think that would be way cool, it sounds better than London in my opinion.

we need a new Vice City + more realism + better performance (and a PROPER PC PORT that is optomised to make use of the kind of tech that will be available then). I still think it's pointless doing another GTA on this gen of consoles, GTAIV could barely cut it performance wise, much better on PC (eventually) I had it on PS3 initially and sold it as it was so choppy/aliased. I do most of my gaming on PS3 so i'm not some PC elitist either, just saying how it is. Rockstar's grand vision of a living city needs more power than current gen consoles have to do it justice graphically.

Everyone says San Andreas was the best, I dont know, in my opinion the story sucked. I never beat it because I never felt the need too, I just mssed around and thats only fun for so long. Besides a few things in IV I thought it was the best GTA yet. The phone calls to hang out need to be taken out, they need to make it so a cop isnt ALWAYS there if you ever decide to do even the littlest crime. They also need side missions to keep the game playable after you complete it. They also need allow you to customize your cars. I like a more realistic GTA game, the old ones were great but at times a little over the top. Besides GTA IV's story was better than any of the rest, it wasnt a scarface rippoff, or boys in the hood rippoff, just an original character and a story that dosent follow an old movie.

hope it will be more a sequel to the old games like vice and san , IV was not so good imo when it comes to fun , i want sequel to san andreas with improved IV graphics and car handling/ physics ported from midnight club , that would be awesome

I have always been a fan of GTA but number 4 was dull and depressing with all the fun taken out of it to make it a more realistic game instead of the slapstick humour of the past games. And for the love of God please take out the pain in the backside man dating missions. They are nothing but a pain.For exsample the phone rings...Friend...Hey Nicko do you want to go Bowling/dancing/pub/Hell. Nick...Sorry friend Im currently driving at 100mph through the rush hour traffic while firing a gun with my bum cheeks and driving with my feet trying to escape the FBI and army. Friend...Oh okay then maybe later...Friend rating dropped.

Rockstar needs to play Saints Row 2 and try to learn something about controls. The controls on the GTA games are my only real complaint. I think it would be so much better if it had 3rd person shooter controls. In other words, give the player complete camera control. It's quite annoying trying to run around and control the camera and have it snap back to where the game 'thinks' you want to look.

If there is a next GTA, how about making it about the actual AUTOS this time, yeah? Or just change the name.

Please be in London :D Very multicultural = massive variety of gangs, from teenagers with knives to yardies with uzi's Great roads = Most gta's so far have a somewhat generic gridblock layout with a few twisted roads here and there, london has a great variety within its roads. Alleyways galore, thames river for quick transport, london city airport, canary wharf, london eye, loads of bridges and tunnels, complex underground system with different lines, red light district, missions will be more varied, loads of parks, public transport, historical buildings (america is young so its lacking those), huge selection of weapons as its hard to get weapons legally they are obtained on the black market (from crossbows to automatic handguns) Some ideas for the game: Car tuning like san andreas Parachute (was only in tBoGT), Jetpack Hovercraft, monster truck, dune buggy, quad bike, airboat, bicycle, jumbo plane (like the secret one in san andreas) Multiple airports, different types of planes (bi-plane, jet, seaplane) Give the vehicles a mixture of arcade and realistic handling, gta iv's handling problem was car suspension felt way too loose. Additional futuristic weapons would be great (Acquired in a mission from a military research centre :P) Animals (far cry 2, crysis, tomb raider) have them so it shouldn't be a problem Better storyline (niko's story was bland, tbogt+tlod had better storylines) Character customisation (similar to san andreas) That is all I can think of at the moment :)

combine the customization from San Andreas with the gameplay from IV. And bring back the flying car cheat
